Randy, I wanted to mention I really enjoy the information that you put out. You cannot make everybody happy. I recently got to a place in life where I could get a Bass Boat and start enjoying it. my Dad was a Tournament fisherman when I was a kid but we moved from central Florida to coastal Naples and switched to Saltwater. The first advice you gave was to get a gym membership. I am 51 and you were spot on about that. Keep your chin up man. You are doing just fine!

Most of the negative commenters arent able to give their opinions without being hateful because their opinions ARE hateful and they've decided to let their hateful opinions define them as people. As soon as someone lets their stupidity define them they become a drain on society. Randy tries to educate folks and about 30 percent of those people are unreachable and thus a drain on the world around them.

I watch your videos and agree with you about the cost of bass boats and the forward scan. When I bought an aluminum Ranger, I was so proud to afford a boat and have a well laid out interior. I am not a tournament guy, but enjoy making baits and trying to figure out lakes that I have been fishing for 35 years. I am learning everyday and really enjoy thinking about patterns and trying new retrieves. Your podcasts help me learn different approaches. I do not understand the negativity or anger. Fishing is like a meditation for me and I just try to ignore the people who ruin the joy in this wonderful sport. Keep up your work and keep your mind open to alternative views when they are expressed respectfully. We all can learn.

Hang in there and create your videos on fishing and experiences with your tournaments. The kill switch was one I experienced where I even reset it in place and still had an issue with it until I slowed down and set the part back into the right place - and it was on a Mercury. It’s all part of learning a new boat and how it behaves. Keep up the great videos and passing on great information. Ignore the people who are so negative, it is not worth it.

I was in a Bass World of Sports Tourney back in the late 90s on Kentucky lake in November! The wind was blowing straight out of the north like 30! Ran 20 miles down river on the big Ten Side..Exhausted from the ride down! Did very well the day before! Anyways…The bite was still there! Wind really started to push around noon! We decided to start heading back early and the boat wouldn’t start! With everything going on with the weather and anyone knows that fishing flooded rivers! It’s like being on a beach! We nosed dived twice getting back but late! Lost 16 the first day of a two day! Spent almost 45 minutes trying to figure out it was the deadliest switch in the world!

The current format is not effective because you have an open door audience with no limits as to age or any other consideration as to who chooses to respond to you in a reasonable fashion. I was a dairy farmer for most of my adult life and have always been environmentally minded but as you stated the other day that people don't get it and refuse to educate themselves are the ones to trash talk the person who wants to educate the masses. First and foremost let me begin by saying I thoroughly enjoy your channel. And I'll never resort to name calling because that accomplishes absolutely nothing. But when it comes to environmental issues, please consider what an immense carbon footprint professional fishermen have. You drive an exhaust belching older truck thousands of miles every year to put a boat that exhausts into the water to compete in a recreational sport. And take a peak at the thousands of lures on that wall behind you, the majority of which are made of plastic which again, is a petroleum based product that polluted during the manufacturing process. It's a kind of catch 22 to tell others to be environmentally responsible when it's impossible for you to ply your trade with out being a part of the problem. Again, I appreciate the channel and enjoy watching.

I'm commenting on your last environmental protection video. It's a shame that the golden era of bass fishing is over. I grew up in the 70s fishing farm ponds in NJ. Those ponds have development all around and the fishing sucks now. I don't know the answer as far as bringing back the fishing.
