Finding and installing parts onto an MC-900 wood lathe. This lathe is nearly identical to a Jet JWL-1236 and a Leda MC-900 as well as a host of other generic Chinese manufactured lathes.

If you need a new pulley, Speed Selector makes variable speed pulleys that replace the Reeves, Hi-Lo, TB Woods and Lovejoy pulleys that went out of business or got bought. Most of the pulleys are in stock or Speed Selector will custom make if needed. They have an actual engineering department; very helpful.

That could be but this was never more than a cheap lathe, it wouldn’t warrant too much effort to repair

Good video... in Australia get the parts from Hare & Forbes machinery warehouse, goes under the name Hafco, Jet, Toolmac, Carbetec, and more

hello .. can someone tell me what the length of the belt is in centimeters because mine is cracked and I don't know the dimensions thank you all

The best way is to take the belt to a supplier and match it. Otherwise you can wrap a tape-measure around the outside and subtract about 2cm because belt length is measured from the middle of the pulley faces where the belt rides.

could you tell me where you got the parts to fix your lathe i need both sets of pulleys the motor and main shaft also the belt thanks

I am guessing you have already found parts but if not, here is a link to the Ereplacement site in the USA for a JWL 1236; www.ereplacementparts.com/jet-jwl1236-wood-working-lathe-parts-c-32652_32854_129617.html. If you're working on another badge engineered brand that is similar to mine in Australia, you might do a search on LEDACRAFTS website as their MC900 was almost a duplicate. They still sell an MC1100 which apparently uses the same headstock.

looks a lot like a central machinery t34706 that they sell at harbor freight. same color and everything.
