+Lathland Good to see this series starting to warm up! Your center cannon should be flack in order to strip blocks away for high kinetic rounds coming from the new cannons. The stream of 'weight' from them will chew up whatever gets flacked, and you will bore holes through armour and drop shields pretty quickly too. A small manual EMP gun could help with capturing, perhaps change the Flying Squirrel to use stun, and disable desired active vessels while they are largely intact. Or blow them up just a little bit ;)

I say since its name is the Vulture why not keep with the scavanger them and call it the "Thunderbird" its a type of condor that has a 18ft wingspand and since the vulture has taken on a blue and white look the thunder bird has a myth that when it flaps it's wings that it creates thunder so you could keep it the colors it is now and go with the myth plus it matches the sound of the cannnos that roar like thunder.

Lath, you should use radar and the gimbal tracker for it, it helps alot (if you are used ng something else you could use the relevant gimbal tracker)

I'm sure you know this by now but if you're like me and don't check basic block costs all the time maybe not, but the lightweight alloy is now actually cheaper than metal (as opposed to way more expensive like it used to be). The weight advantage definitely helped my airship which is shielded anyway

Hello once again Lathrix. Nice to see this video finally on my feed (I have your Twitter, so I've been waiting for a while). The Vulture has a great name as is, although I do suggest the Archer or Atlas (Greek mythos buff, sorry XD). As for the strength of the Flying Squirrel, I do believe it uses frag warheads. A quick change to explosive warheads should fix that right up.

Try using a combination of radar and camera detectors and trackers with a laser range finder as well. If you want the longest detection range use 90° detectors. Don't forget to configure the detection system in the Q menu. Also adding in a tracer round in an autoloader per cannon will dramatically increase the accuracy as long as the velocities are similar.

Was looking over the detection systems you have I don't think it can get much better than what you have. It looks like just drift due to detection accuracy over range. Shooting from 2000 meters and .5° deviation can throw the shots off by 10 to 20 meters.

one of the really sad parts of the game is the original Flying Squirrel is no longer in game it was replaced a few years back by a new Flying Squirrel with a different model and a different AI . for 7 or 8 years this damn thing terrified new players now it's gone . I don't care if they update every other ship in game it's just this was a sad one to see go .

Kinda looks like a Manta/Sting ray ATM. On difficulty 13.3 90% of the enemies popping up are dealt with by my three small fighter drones, which also make excellent pirate boarding craft. So usually I'm not paying attention when something like a nasty Scarlet Dawn flyer shows up and starts giving my Battle Cruiser conniptions, also starting to see some of the larger DWG and OW designs but nothing like a Bulwark yet For shells both large calibre flak and wide cone frag are great for stripping away detection systems and hence blinding the enemies, although you still need something else in the mix to kill em.

I reckon those turrets could be replicated easily by making an advanced cannons like this: 6 barrels (And enough gauge increasers to make them 120mm) Around 15/16 gauge coolers And around 6 belt-fed autoloaders. That should get you about 400rpm. If you need higher, just throw in some more loaders and coolers.
