After you save and load it reverts. Also the spade is a glitchy mess and barely works.. If it did work it would be quite powerful.. As cannons and missiles cant destroy terrain.'' Ohh new feature, for every 2 meters of explosive range it will remove a single tile of what the spade would remove, making ditches where shells hit..

I wish there was a game mode in FTD where it was essentially a tower defense, you only get one main stationary base and you only get resources from killed enemies, it would be interesting.

Just a few tips when you're building anti-missile cannons. First up, they don't work against cram shells. You need LAMS or shields for that. There are three main kinds of CIWS cannon. Solid AP, frag, and flak. It used to be missiles could only be affected by explosions but that's been patched so missiles can be damaged by APS shells and fragmentation as well. Solid shells work best for low calibre, 20-40 mm. The shells don't require as much powder for speed because of the speed boost from solid shells and you can even use some sabot parts. Frag works best with mid-size calibres, 60-100 mm. You need to set up a laser designator so the shells detonate short of the missile. They're very good at dealing with swarms of missiles, as the cloud of fragments can hit multiple missiles per shell. Flak works well with most calibres, 40-120 m, but you'll need to tune the laser designator for lower calibres to compensate for shell travel time. The timed fuse is set to the missile's position when the shell is fired, and doesn't account for missile speed. Using a larger calibre (and thus larger damage radius) helps to mitigate this.

If you use both a weapon controller and anti missile controller on a turret, then if there are no missile targets around, it will fire on enemy targets. :)

Certainly a good idea, one I used in the other campaigns, however for low-ammo builds like this which also use belt-fed loaders, using such weak shots on non-missile targets when missiles are not present between the volly of missiles tends to result in no ammo when It's really needed :P

You only need one munition warner in each direction to get an accurate read on missiles lath. If the craft is really large, multiples work well but your bunker is small so you can save a bit of resource there.

The munition warners are very very vulnerable and easy to knock off, they are also very cheap - having just one in each direction is a recipe for disaster :P

I'm having a problem with from the depths. if I go into battle I cant shoot any gun except missiles. also the enemies don't shoot back, stay there, or if they fly they just kinda fly away never to be seen again. anything with a barrel does not fire. so I have ships that are useless cause they have lots of guns but no missiles. anyone know why?

With the anti missile cannon, you should make it a much higher caliber. If you can get a lot of flak damage and up the radius, you can take out a big chunk of missiles in one hit.

If you add a heat decoy on your anti missile cannon the missiles will focus on the bunker in a straight line. The enemy missiles will get shot down faster and more accuratly.

Lathrix, you should make a helicopter that reverses its blades when it is below 90% health to heal and also turn off certain ai's and turn some on as it becomes a submarine allowing it to heal and use torpedoes

Its better to build buildings on legs above ground so ground explosions had less damage potential, 8 spread out legs and one in the center. Then You can copy it without legs as a prefab on any height. It does not rise profile, and as enemy will most likley aim at turret or more cruciall components 1x1x4 block thick leg from beams is hard to hit and not prioritalized its quite safe from being cut down, range and ricoche will benefit to. Only volume might be a problem in some cases, but even short legs 2 beams hight already help, and one in the center would be a nightmare to destroy.

I think the Anti-missile cannon isn't as effective as thought. Remember the missiles aren't going to be aimed at that cannon specifically, and it was inaccurate until the missile was were heading right towards it.

why shouldn't horses fly? I think cram cannons, they can't be shot down by lasers and if they hit once, the enemy craft is dead. Make sure the shell has some speed and you have proper detection systems set up though, otherwise you won't hit them.

Of course! This is what I've done in the past, however right now I havn't really hit the limit much in my current plans - With the vehicle holders there is some weirdness with repair tentacles too - The main vehicle can't be healed by the vehicles It is holding, and since a long line of buildings healing each other is the goal right now, It just wouldn't work :P
