@@jalukejaluke6884 For starters, White Supremacist movements are rampant in America, it's common for Neo-Nazi groups such as the Klu Klux Klan, The Proud Boys, the Aryan Republican Army, and the American Nazi Party to target random black people on the streets and murder them. The perpetrators are often in news not disclosed in fear of public outrage, and the media often covers up their actions and gives justification for their crimes. Plus with the Nazi's Nuremburg laws literally being directly influenced under America's confederate army. America has a strong right-wing party endorsement which aims to kill not only all native born African Americans but all African, Hispanic, and Indigenous immigrants.

All that sounds good but that’s not the reality. There are way too many racist situations happening in Russia and there is a big skinhead and Nazi groups there. Personally, I find Russians less racist here in America. They do treat blacks really nice and will go out of their way for you. I live around, have friends and work with a lot of Russians. You walk into their stores and they treat you equally. They don’t follow you around in their stores. They dress better than other whites and the older people have a life…I mean a real social life. Very fashionable people. They don’t clutch their bags around you. They seem to not have any fear being around black people. Again, this is just my experience. I can’t speak for anyone else.

I'm half African American. I spent nearly a month in Moscow. Not only were the people extremely nice to me, I didn't feel any discrimination or scrutiny based on my skin color. They looked at me as just another individual and were frequently friendly. When I got on the subway and sat next to older Caucasian people no one grabbed their purses, got up to sit next to someone else, or didn't go out of their way to make sure I was served last at in a restaurant and other retail establishments. These are the things I experience frequently in the USA and it just rolls off of my shoulders. I did not realize how racist the USA was until I left and returned. The subtle racism that I was oblivious to before I left the USA was air apparent when I returned. It's a shame that the leading country of the free world is still one of the most racist countries in the world and that reality is arguably one of the great paradoxes of our time.

I started getting followed from aisle to aisle when I was 4 years old inside of a cheap grocery store. That's actually how I found out what racism was. And regarding hair products that's not really a concern in terms of availability. The issue is that if you go to stores like Walmart, Walgreens, etc. You'll see that black people hair products are locked behind the glass and they need a store staff member to unlock it so we can get our products. Whereas every other races hair products are freely available and not being locked glass. Pretty messed up.

I understand that this is a very old video, but I still can't keep silent))))). The first black politician in Russia. Ahahaha, I've never seen so many lies contained in one true phrase. It sounds something like this: "There is discrimination in Russia, and therefore blacks are never elected to leadership positions." In fact, blacks make up less than 1% of the population of the Russian Federation, and it is not surprising that they are not elected, there are simply very few of them here. This is explained very simply: the Russian Empire did not colonize African countries and did not import slaves from there, our own population played the role of slaves. After 1917, universal equality, both national and gender, was generally proclaimed and promoted in every possible way. You can talk a lot about the USSR, but I grew up in a Soviet family, my father is a military man, and my mother is a teacher, quite an average family by all standards. And I can say that any racist statement in my family would cause confusion and anger, perhaps they would have kicked my ears)))) But it would never have occurred to me to say something like that, because, besides my parents, I have heard about equality in kindergarten, school, on television. Another thing is that after the collapse of the USSR, the whole policy of equality and fraternity stopped and many people slipped into nationalism, racist groups appeared, the government is fighting them, but not as effectively as we would like. Personally, I can say for myself that I remember what my parents taught me, and I teach my children the same, and I am not alone in this.

@peacelover2767
@peacelover2767 4 жыл бұрын
@FromRussiaWithLove But Russia is still worse economic wise besides SA is the 30th wealthiest country there are other European countries especially in the East who are worse off. And who said I claimed black or African pride unlike you I don't base everything on my skin colour to compensate for being a failure in life
@peacelover2767
@peacelover2767 4 жыл бұрын
@FromRussiaWithLove I never said that our economy was good we have our problems but Russia is worse whether you like it or not. There are even Russians who are moving here and as I said we are the 30th richest country in the world. It just depends on the economic spectrum you on. One of the biggest problems is corruption otherwise SA is not short of money. Russia is just as bad when it comes to corruption the poverty there is terrible. And again you base your pride of your race and heritage instead of personal success because you have not achieved anything in life

i am a South African I grew up during the apartheid times we were told how Rusia loves Africans and they were supporting our leaders with material things to fight against the apartheid government those were evil times and there was a Russian man called JOE SLOVO he was fighting with us fighting for us today in our communities there are places that are named after him and we have a place called Moscow here in East London to me it is not a shock to see this gentleman storry because of how i knew Russia during the struggle in South Africa .

Agree with you 100 percent. As a child in the 80s, I was exposed to a lot of tear gas in the townships and was really tired of running around throwing stones at the police. I hardly knew the face of Mandela that time however I was disappointed when they distributed a picture of him with eyes concealed. Through all that chaos and being tired of police terrorizm, I heard one child saying that the Russians are coming to rescue us from Apartheid, from that day on, my hope was restored, I never went out to fight against the police however I pictured Russian military Men tackling the ruthless apartheid police. Even though that never happened, things started changing for the better in South Africa.
