Good interview with one minor criticism. I wish she would stop interrupting him. There was one point in particular when he was trying to describe Jon's inner conflict and she broke in and took it in another direction. 😡

Exactly. Many times she interrupted him when he was trying to explain Jon's journey. It's like she doesn't want to listen, she wants to just receive the answers she already has put in her head. She's probably overly attached to the show. That always makes people more blind and less open.

I know! I truly never liked Dany, especially in the books! She never listens or takes advice from her council and she used black magic to bring Drogo back because she was afraid if she died she would lose all power. She does all of this then complains about the results she gets. She won't believe anyone when they tell her about how evil her father was. Not to mention she randomly sleeps with her hand maiden and whoever she pleases, just because she's horny.

***** I thought he had said in the interview at the Oxford Union, that he read the all of the books in the series before they started filming. Book 5 came out around season 1, but that was over 4 years ago, he probably read it or heard the story arc for his character by then. Oh well, As you said he would have gotten the script fist.

It makes me sad hearing him talk about being very excited to pick apart what D&D will do for his character as the show goes on... and seeing how much they let Jon and Kit down. I was very upset with how Jon was handled in seasons 7 and 8. I will never be okay with his "romance" with Dany, nor his sudden out of character stupidity. We know Jon was naive but he wasn't a dummy.

Hello Kit!!! My question is: defeated White Walkers and miracoulosly still alive, what would you rather happen to Jon? to ascend to the throne or to remain with the Night's Watch, or a third possibility? I love a lot "your" Jon and I like the fact that when you talk about your character we can see how much you like play the role of Jon Snow after all this time and how well you have him figured out. I am crushed that GOT killed Jon Snow. I loved to Stark family men and now they've killed all the adult men. The show is really going to be different for me now that he's gone. Ned was my favorite character in the first season and I didn't know they were going to chop off his head! (very upsetting) I haven't read the books because like Mary, I'm enjoying the show. I can't wait to see Brandon again. I'm sure he'll be my next favorite Stark young man.

During the hiatus, you should read A Song of Ice and Fire. It gives you more depth than the show, and there is a BUNCH of characters they left out, or didn't give them much screen time, who are AWESOME! Plot twists were left out of the show that are in the books, so you can still be surprised. Post script Jon is not dead in my opinion, he is going to be a bad ass Rider. GoT < ASoIaF

Thanks Amiee, now that the show is going into season 6, I probably will read the book. Like my other favorite show, I like the actors playing the characters and I like not knowing what is going to happen. Well, at least most of the time. I know a few people who've read the book and they absolutely love it. :O)

I don't think they will. When you read the books you could tell GRRMartin had that in mind. In their chapters, they only seem to think about each other and no one else in the stark clan (surprising, considering everything that happens) and they miss each other a lot so it crossed my mind that George decided just to leave those bits in for fun.
