@@corfidelis please I have a question. I pray the rosary with my Hispanic friends and during the jaculations they usually say a prayer in Spanish which translates to "Blessed St.Joseph increase our faith and protect our family" I tried to translate it to Latin by heart, this was what I came up with "Beate Sancte Joseph, adaugent in nostris fidei et protege nostra familiae" please could you grade my effort

@ugochukwutumonyeodekpe4178 You are close, but some of that doesn't work. Here is what it should be: Beate Sancte Joseph, adauge nobis fidem, et protege familiam nostram. In Latin, you don't typically use both beate and sancte together: only one, but it works. I hope that helps. God bless!

@@corfidelis I am so grateful to you my brother. If I told you that about 50% of the latin words I learnt are from your videos.

If people take the few minutes to learn these essential prayers and say it at table both at home and in the public the world will start to change. Wonderful. Thanks

Praise the lord. Hallelujah. Sir I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I want to share you something what I feel. I belong to India and from the Roman Catholic family. From the year 1964, Church has introduced the 2nd Vatican. Where we allow to celebrate various things in our local languages like The holy Eucharist as well as all the prayers like The holy rosary,, prayer before and after meals, 7 sacraments,, 10 commandments, etc. I was born in the year 1992. So of course I was not having any platform to listen the prayer in Latin forget about learning. I got to know about the Latin prayer only in the year 2011 when my uncle’s wedding was held. In our Mangalorean culture we sing a hymn “Laudate Dominum” and I was surprised. Then I went to grandparents and asked them about this hymn like its language and the meaning. Then I got to know that during their childhood days, they were celebrating the holy mass in Latin only. And the 2nd generations (our parents) was not knowing this prayers. So there was no platform to me to learn the Latin prayer however I was eager to learn. This year when my grandfather passed away then I strongly relished that, now there is no one alive from my family to teach this prayers in The Great Latin. and I pledge to myself that I don’t want to finish this language. I want to spread to my generations. I started to searching in the platforms like KZbin and I found your channel. Sir I really thank you about your dedication. Keep teaching us. Because everyone who is watching your channel seriously, they all value to this language including me. Lastly, May God bless you and your family. ✝️❤🙏

@@corfidelis Sure, will do. If I may ask, on the blessing before meals tutorial, you had explained in the prayer after meals (Virgin Mary) where we would make sign of the cross. Could you please explain where I would do this in the prayer before meals? Many thanks once again, Daniel
@corfidelis3 ай бұрын
@Daniel-wz5qv Typically we sign ourselves when we say "nos" or "us" to accept God's blessing upon us. If there is a priest present, he typically signs outward at that moment and also at "haec" or "these" thy gifts as Christ departs blessings through him. I hope that helps.
@Daniel-wz5qv3 ай бұрын
@@corfidelis Thank you for your reply. So if I understand correctly, do we complete the whole sign of the cross at 'nos' before we start the 'et haec tua dona'? This is slightly different from the sign of the cross done on the different words 'benedicat Virgo Maria'.
@corfidelis3 ай бұрын
You don't have to wait, but it is different in that in my experience it is not done in a certain rhythm or in unison. Typically it is begun on nos and continued as we continue with the prayer.
