What makes them standout amongst others is their overall uniqueness, they're all versatile skilled rappers that can touch diff genres, diff subjects and etc, and when they're together they're like the Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman of k-pop, the holy trinity. If I had that kind of time on my hands to make a video compilation of BTS's rap line, I could show the best work they've done since the beginning of their discography and include the technicalities in the verses within their rap game that would explain and show why they're the best. But there are already videos on YT as well as case studies from universaties, governments, students of the Hip-hop game that's already shared their rap game online. Anyway this reaction was enjoyable, thanks for the consistency.

I’ve always been a fan of hip hop so when I discovered BTS back in 2015 it kinda blew my mind bc I never thought I’d find such…genuine (?) hip hop within kpop That was back in 2nd Gen and beginning of 3rd Gen, so yeah many group had “rappers” by then, but very few were actually writing their own lyrics and BTS was one of 4 hip hop idol groups at the time. Them REALLY being students and fans of hip hop escalated my love for them instantaneously. That’s probably why they were really the only bg I STANNED at the time.

Rap is not just spilling words in speed and rhyme. I think what sets bts'rapline apart is that they - have crazy flow - rhythm - god-tier lyrics - poetic language and metaphors (very rare to find among idol rappers) - crazy self-produced beats - their own experiences and story I think rap is in their blood vessels. Amazing Love for hip hop and rap. Huge respect

I am one of the Army that has grown to appreciate and love rap because they were done by BTS. TBH, I always equate rap as noise. I caught on to BTS because of their ballads. I watched their vlogs and all other content they have that made me adore them as artists and people. It made me listen as well to all of their music, even their rap, which I don't find noisy at all. It is indeed rhythmical and lyrical. Their songs have become my anthem because at certain moments (happy, sad, needing motivation...) in my life, they have a song that would speak to me. Their musicality, lyricism and performance are outstanding. They are really one of the best. 💜💜💜
@marciasilva5492 жыл бұрын
When you pause, I really think you guys should start rewinding 5 seconds because sometimes you pause at critical or impactful moments in a song or video, where it's been building up to something or a beat drop/change in dynamics happens and if you simply press play, you lose all the momentum and there's no payoff to that buildup. Just a suggestion.

The verses in Paradise, Moving On, A Brand New Day, etc. Completely not y'all's fault tho.

it's really true that bts broaden your perspective of music, the first song I heard by them was a vocal line song (lost) so I didn't even know they had rappers and I never really thought it was my thing because I didn't enjoy the rap my friends did, but I really loved the way they rapped, the songs they created that were more rap-centric and because of them I've started to listen to more western rap which I think is kind of the opposite journey than alot of people go on 😅😅

Bangtan's rap line really stands out compare to other k-pop rappers and other rappers in general. They are genuinely good. I liked rap before but BTS really GOT ME INTO rap. They are crazy good, Their flow, lyrics, delivery and how they rap in live.... Just like the video said, BTS' rap line is superior PERIOD! I feel you, nowadays there's not much respect when it comes to rappers, rap is not easy at all! And of course it has been commercialized, some people think that rap is just spill some words that rhyme with speed when it's not. Some artists that call themselves rappers are just performers. Like Nicky Minaj said, real rappers at least write their own lyrics.

I'm no expert in rap but a lot of people think it's just cadence and rhyme when a good rapper is more than that. Since Efra's a rapper I'm sure he'll get this. in army stan twt, there's a reddit comment that's been circulating since 2018. A hiphophead was debating with someone who said that there are better rappers in kpop than BTS rapline so they broke down BTS rapline's style to contradict that. They dissected everything technically: the lyrics, wordplay used, double and triple entendres, rhyming schemes, versatility, flow, and motif stringing. They explained how these rappers are the best lyricist out there and how they pull 7-10 internal rhymes per bar. They said that JHope can do unstructured internal rhymes which is pretty hard to pull off according to them. It probably has a lot to do with his beat sense as a dancer. And his being a dancer probably is a huge factor why he can focus on both rapping and dancing, and as Waleska said, he doesn't sacrifice one for the other. They also claim that RM,Suga and JHope are "extremely well-rounded rappers who cover every style from rubix, straight forward, syncopated bounce..." Almost every kpop group have rappers but all these set BTS rapline apart.

I HATED rap (except for some very early Eminem) and saw no redeeming qualities in it at all. But I love BTS's rap. Especially First Love and The Last made me realize that it could be beautiful and touching. Yoongi in particular changed how I feel about rap, at least where BTS is concerned. All 3 are exceptional, but Yoongi holds a special place when it comes to rap.

But I love BTS's EDM songs, I freaking adore BTS's rap songs, and I absolutely love their hip hop heavy tracks...
