I have been switching Swords in and out of the bag as my control distance driver with the Trespass. I agree the TP Sword is an absolute bomber! Find my Trespasses slightly more controllable, but Swords are still in the mix for that spot.

I have yet to get my hands on a Grace. I had a Sword a couple of years ago in red VIP...loved it, not sure why it took me so long to replace it. I now have 3 Swords in Orbit and ABSOLUTELY love 'em !! I have several Trespasses ... Most are domey Lucid and 1 in flatish white that looks and feels like Gold plastic. The flight characteristics are VERY different, in my experience between the two plastics. The "Golds" are always flat top and understable but I still like them for certain shots. It is odd to me that the Orbits, thus far, have been working SO WELL for me. My favorite plastic has been the opaque white Opto/VIP/Lucid, with others for utility shots. Ah, late night ramblings...

The Grace was pretty stable out of the box and hasn’t made my bag yet as a result. I live the feel, but I have too many other discs that fill that spot at the moment!

I throw the Trespass and Sword. I feel like my longest drives are with the Trespass and Wraith. Although the Trespass seems like it’s a little touchy with different angle releases. I’m liking the Sword, it feels like I’m a little more accurate with it.

The Sword has been a slightly mysterious and perhaps underrated disc in my opinion. I know that the Trespass and Sword are pretty similar, after throwing them both for a while (in my distance accuracy slot) I feel like the Sword may have slightly more glide. Still they are the same slot basically in my bag.

Solid demo. Threw Terns for years but got tired of all the early releases due to the thin rim. Took that slot out of the bag entirely and just learned to anny my Scorps a bit. Then I sampled the Scorch, which is just a speed 11 Heat. I adore Heats, but the Scorch also feels a little too thin. Good for flicks though. Then I tried my buddy's Grace. This demo proves that I need the Grace in my life

Thank you! Grace is a great disc both for the feel and trajectory. It’s a good all round distance disc, but can be accurate like a fairway. Lots of people loving the Grace. I have two of them, but have kept the Sword and Trespasses in that slot for now! (It’s waiting it’s turn!)

Threw the sword first time last week. Sorcerer is pretty close for me but love the S turns throwing sidearm with either or.

Great review. I have multiple Trespasses and a Grace. All different plastics. Funny enough my misprint Lucid is the least stable, or rather, turns the easiest. Fuzion is the most stable. Grace to me flies similar to a beat Trespass. It will turn a little but flies straight for a long time and has a good bit less fade at the end. Does not seem dumpy at all. I have had two of my longer drives with the disc. Both of them around 400ft. I think it flies like a longer Musket.

Can’t agree more. If I compared to my two seasoned/broken in Lucid Trespasses, the Grace would have closer. Those Fuzion Trespasses been known to be more stable (heard it mentioned on DGAM before). Post video I’ve found the Sword and the Grace to be really close (like almost same spot in the bag). See what happens, like them both!

Thanks for these comparisons. I snagged a First Run Grace used but it flew beefier than I expected. I think if I would have seen this first, I would have tried the Sword first. I have a beat-up Enigma from Discmania (produced by Latitude though) and I think I'm going to try and snag some Swords soon as a replacement as I have a tough time finding lower 170g Enigmas. Thanks!

Hey David! Swords are definitely a nice disc can be thrown at lower arm speeds or with some finesse. Brand new a little stable, but new like a beat in Trespass. Would love to compare to Enigma! Check the DD website they often have them in the misprints page. (Double stamps and cheaper!). I initially thought they were available, but not this evening!

I really like my Trespass. The Grace, however, seems more similar to the Innova Mystere, which glides so long I call it Clyde Drexler.

Lucid Trespass was my first disc beat it to the point it feels like a -3,1 turn fade. The grace feels like a -1,3 t,f interested to see how the grace beats in

Great question! I need to have that done. I think that I can throw in the 50’s. Maybe 52-58 if I were to guess. So not too much arm speed (but maybe I’m totally wrong!)

At the moment I bag the Trespass, but I do work a couple Swords in and out. (I like to get them all seasoned to about the same). I like to use these for my accuracy long drives. Now when I say long, I’m looking at 350’ - 380’ but accurate. Can throw 400, but I (and pretty much anyone) will lose accuracy when going for distance. So I use these drivers for 70-90% throws where I need a degree of accuracy. (My next distance driver up are Ballista Pros, and not as accurate, but definitely will go further - 20-40’ further). So I consider these drivers “control” distance drivers. Where in the world are you to find a Sorcerer??? Can’t get them in US!

Fuzion Trespass is more stable than the Lucid for whatever reason. I have Fuzion, experienced it myself, and also heard others comment on it. They can compliment each other (Lucid less stable, Fuzion more can be used when you need that fade or stability - slight headwinds).

@@BeaverBranch ive got 1 of each, both 173g. My fuzion turns a little easier but it also comes back more reliably. My lucid is more stable but when it does turn over, it doesnt come back as reliably. I like my Fuzion more, it is a little grippier for me also.

i have thrown all 3, and thought the grace the most 'beefy'/overstable. I loved my sword before i lost it, both FH and BH. I'd say I've thrown the trespass the least, I also have a Sorcerer which I love.

I love 💕 your reviews. I only have a couple of dynamic disc but I want more. I use a newish Innova gstar 2x pmac b KRAIT 175g. Everybody thinks she is understable but it's not. I get more turn out of my destroyer's. Anyway I only have 1 so I wanna buy the grace for a back up. I just wish it came in a gummier plastic. But I've never felt royal plastic I might like it. I hate the way esp feels though. Lucid feels good and I putt with prime judge and Nomad

Thank you, thank you! I like the clear premium plastics as well! With Innova I liked Champion over Star, and with all the Trilogy I prefer Lucid, VIP and Opto (all same plastic different names between DD, Westside and Lat64) over Fuzion, Tournament and Goldline plastics. The Grace is a really nice disc! I’ve been open to the other plastics more recently. Eventually give it a try! Happy discing!

How do these compare to a bolt

I have not gotten my hands on a Bolt. However, I’ve seen it thrown and seems very understable. Seems like a lot of people use it for rollers. I think these three discs are obviously slower (by speed) and more stable (less turn). It would be interesting to compare the Bolt to the Westside King or the Latitude Knight!

Thanks for the review l now realize a VIP sword is what I need👍. I love my Tournament Sword but it doesn't really want to come out of a slight Anhyzer release, and just a 5 to 10 mph headwind is too much even on Hyzer release. I know it's not a headwind driver but l think the VIP on Hyzer should work for me for mild headwinds unlike my tournament plastic. I have about the exact same power/ form as you so I'm pretty confident the VIP sword should fly about the same for me as you. Anyway thanks for the review, and l will be checking out your other videos ✌.

Hey there Flip Flat! I’m not too sure if the VIP will be more stable than Tournament or not. With the DD Trespass I know the Fuzion (same as Tournament plastic) versions are more stable the Lucid (which is same as VIP). It would definitely be a comparison I would like to make! If I can get a couple Tournament Swords!

@@BeaverBranch I have heard people say the VIP sword is almost always more stable the tournament plastic but there's no videos on KZbin comparing the two. I noticed watching your VIP Sword fly it seems to have more low speed fade than mine. I guess an easy way for me to find a more stable Sword is to just take mine into the disc golf store and check the PLH "parting line height" against a VIP version. The higher wing of the two will be the more stable flyer. If you can get your hands on a tournament sword that would be a cool video for sure👍.

Checking the parting line height will definitely allow you to select a more stable disc! I just wanted to share my experience with Fuzion versus Lucid in Trespasses. I looked for Tournament Swords, but of course, can’t seem to locate any at the moment!

@@BeaverBranch It's getting hard to find almost any disc online these days especially the popular molds. I hope the disc manufacturers kick it into overdrive as they get back to work. If i can't get a 12 /5/-.5/2 out of a new Sword I'm going to try a Trespass. My Sword is pretty much a 12/5/-1/1 which isn't bad, but I want a slightly beefier one to pair with it.

@@BeaverBranch It’s been a real struggle finding popular molds from Trilogy for my pro shop especially Flows. They just released Chameleon ones on the wholesale side and will be out to the public August 18th I do believe. I throw everything you reviewed and out of all the Flow has been a staple in my bag for both distance and control, the Grace and Flow are almost identical though.

You are correct about dynamics plastic being consistent. It is night and day difference between Innova and dynamics plastic. Innova has to beat in to for 3 months to fly like the numbers. Dynamic flys and continues to fly like the numbers for even when beat in. My 1 year old base line prime truth and escape still flys the same beat to crap

I agree the Royal Grand Grace is more OS. I’ve even taken it back out and tried it with some fieldwork and it was still overstable. (Like it wasn’t the first time!) I see a lot of ladies throwing them as their straight, tailwind driver and think maybe not throwing as hard as them! Need a radar gun!

With your distance I'm surprised you didnt get more movement in your shots with it. Might be a nose angle thing. Maybe you just got some that are more stable than mine. You outdistance me quite a bit. Im about 350.
