Bruh Fr. I can barely get mine to form anything. I think I primarily need a pitcher cause I’m using my French press and looking at the way it flows, it doesn’t flow out the same as a pitcher would.

I saw a barista doing almost the same thing(forgot his name) the different was he put coffee powder on the cup(no liquid just powder) in the first try so it wont discoloured the milk so much so you can try and try again using the same milk to practice. That is actually a very good tip indeed. Love it.

Really nicely presented video! I would have loved to hear a little bit more about step 2 really - how you start pushing that art on the surface, my milk quite often sinks or doesn't form a discernible shape even when i pour from a low height. Also if anyone else is reading this and don't always have chocolate - cinnamon powder makes for a good handy substitute to practice.

Great tips, thanks for the video. I have also heard that a way to practice is to use water with one drop of washing up liquid. It steams up a bit like milk and you can practice over and over. I've tried it myself and it's not a bad way to practice if it's the art and not the frothing that you need work on.

Hey thanks Paul, you've just explained how to froth milk correctly, so simply and it all makes perfect sense "why couldn't I see that"!!! I've been making espresso flat whites & cappuccinos (at home) now for about 5 years and have always wondered how they do it so much tastier in the cafe with exactly the same coffee beans. But it does take practice, thanks for the tips on how to blend the coffee and how to prepare the milk for latte art.

You can get a milk pitcher that has temperature readings on the side, which is especially useful when training new baristas. What I learned was to take the milk wand out as soon as the pitcher is too hot to put your palm against. And make sure to tap the bottom of the pitcher on a flat surface to get rid of air bubbles
