I prefer little simz, rapsody, and Tierra whack to jcole. I’m excluding old school female rappers who I definitely prefer like Missy and Lauren hill. The fact is that a lot of people just don’t give the non mainstream girls a chance. I’m also enjoying doechii, sampa the great, Rico nasty, Doja, some Chika, a little anycia, Glorilla, Scarlip has potential, noname, etc. And there are unknown female rappers who had skill and were more introspective, but just didn’t make noise, didn’t have a label really supporting them, and so they faded away.

Who from today’s mainstream female artists can rap with Lauryn, Lil Kim, Foxxy, Left Eye, Queen Latifah, Roxanne, Eve? Who is going to rap with them? There are women outside of the mainstream like a Rhapsody or a Little Simz or a Tierra Whack who are there. But they aren’t main stream. In the 90’s the mainstream artists were the talented ones.
