If any of you were wondering, the song was called “From The Start” By Laufey which has recently been released. It blew up to say the least and the part that you hear here is when she starts making some scat sounds. It’s a great song and so are most of her other songs. If you ever watched George Collier you probably would know who she is. If anything it’s an artist i recommend to people all the time.

This would not be nearly as good without the rhythm track behind it. It would sound like section rehersal. I play sax and flute, flutes ok by itself, but you've got to be talented to make sax sound good by itself.

@@MBobLamy How did you effectively hit the triplet? I'm struggling on that part going from Cb to Db and back to Bb

@@dacoolguym7507 Cb in 4th, Db in 5th, back to Cb then Bb in 5th again. Just shake it ! The change in partial makes the notes pop out, they cleanly transition. I worked a lot on the 8th notes, slowly. That was the difficult part for me. I worked on the triplet at tempo, it clicked at some point.

Yea she does. My friend in high school did the same thing starting in 9th grade, became an all state player at trumpet in jazz and orchestral. At an all state when we roomed together I asked him how he does that? He said it feels way more comfortable and he could get the air thru that part easier than in the central

​@@devinhines1318 I used to have an offset embouchure like that because of my goofy teeth. I lost 3 front teeth boxing and got them replaced with fake ones that are straight, now I'm more comfortable playing with a normal embochure lol
