I really like this, Grahame! Is this a half-Imperial sheet that you used (15" x 22")? I have been painting in 11" x 14" format and feeling like it is restricting me a little bit to much. Not enough room for expression. Do you feel this way too? It's difficult to get "painterly" strokes happening on the smaller sizes. A good example of this is Vladimir Volegov. He too is a KZbin "Oil" artist (look him up!). His smaller pieces lack the impressionistic brush strokes that his larger pieces convey. What a wonderful artist!

It's half sheet paper Robert but masked down to slightly over quarter sheet. I find quarter sheet fine for this type of subject but I'd use half sheet for more complex subjects.
