it said after the free transfer period (early access - oct 17) u need to acquire the transfer ticket with lucent (assuming cash currency) with a 30 days cooldown period. Under Limited Free Server Transfers last sentence. assume this is in same region tho dunno about transfering from region to region

I see a problem with server hopping. Sure, it’s great for people who want to play on release servers with their friends, but why not just wait? I mean, your character will be further progress and content, so you're not really playing with your friends anyway. Additionally, it removes the feeling of a fresh MMO for new players, as there’s always someone in front of them who’s already maxed out in LVL and gear. Plus, there are guilds that play EA get a huge head start, so it’s a big disadvantage for new in making "Guilds" so to say.. EA is just extremely stupid for any MMORPG, and it sucks that people buy into it. My opinion tho.

You can have a dogshit laggy launch with all your players joining on the same day with all the servers struggling to keep up with the influx of players making people call the game a laggy piece of shit or queue simulator and wind up quitting because the game feels like trash. Or you can have a fraction of the player base upset that some people get a head start and they play anyways with better server performance and an overall happier community and more money in the developers pockets, so they don’t have to do more monetization. You’re free to look at however you want tho, that’s how I see it and credit goes to PirateSoftware for explaining that honestly.

I like GVG, but it is extremely flawed in design it kills servers, and eventually, the competition just dies. GVG should legit just be cosmetics/bragging rights, and for fun, when you attach things that affect gameplay, it just kills servers.

This game has a gated campaign, which server population has to unlock step by step, and which gate content and gear. If they allow EA->f2p server transfer, they more or less get a "p2w" outcry from the start, which kills any chance to addict people. 5 days are really huge in this progress.

It means console players have a choice to play a console only server if they want. They can still play the cross-play servers, but they have a server specifically for them if they want to play without PC players. If that makes sense.

This has to be the dumbest comment in the whole comment section. No it means technology isn’t advanced enough to hold hundreds of thousands of people and they are aware of that and are reacting accordingly. If you overload a server it just crashes or lags hella bad. AGS was also the publisher of Lost Ark and they didn’t expect over a million people to be playing at one time and the servers couldn’t handle it, they are reacting accordingly here as they have learned from their previous experiences. Having lots of servers at the start is a good thing, having few servers to “prove they can handle volume players” does nothing but cause laggy servers and make people join queues just so they can play.

My guess is at launch just stick with your server on west as I am going to, and down the line if things aren’t competitive enough or there’s only 1-2 strong alliances and you aren’t in them then you could transfer to east for more opportunities. But there will be a ping difference, you’ll go from like 25 ping on west to 90 or so on east. I played a little on KR with a vpn and I played on like 150 ping and it didn’t feel terrible in PvE like the game still functions well but you have those moments where there’s delay and you charge a skill but it doesn’t start charging then you fire the skill and it doesn’t fire instantly so you move then it cancels the skill and then does the input where you tried to fire it so it starts charging again. One of those ping laggy nightmare situations where it’s not the best to have happen in PvP. Will that happen often on east? No, but it might happen so keep that in mind and give west a shot, if you’re worried about the money aspect of transferring, really pay attention to how many people are playing on west servers vs east servers and stay up to date on like guild politics and shit and maybe find a guild to join on east before October 17th and transfer to east. But my recommendation is stay on west for launch so you atleast don’t have to sit in as many queues. Hope this helps

Still no way for a guild to go top early access server, so everyone will go free. If the top early server will be closed they would be cut off - early won't be able to go to the free servers and vise versa. And it will definitely be closed. Early access is useless. Pre-registration for free players would have solved the problem

I don’t think this has been discussed because it’s 1. Assumed that if you’re from places like NA/EU you will speak some English. And 2. There’s game language settings and you can type whatever you want in chat doesn’t matter the language so it’s not like you can’t use your native language.

@@ImDevs I guess u are not from EU. In EN there are many player who do not speak or do not want to speak english. In game chat language i do not care at all in any game. Issue is joining in guild where half the community do not speak the language what u can understand. U can not relay on text while u have voice chat on discord to coordinate in GvG. I have been in full Ger, Full PL and full Cro guild in the past several years, and my worst experience was Ger guild, they do not like/want to talk english for some reason. Had some good ger friends who was fluent english and i could understand everything they said, since my ger language is not that great. In PL and Cro guilds pretty much 99,9/ of ppls did talk english as well. Also some player prefer a guild where all of them speak the same lang cause it is mor comfortable for them, easier and faster communication, and also same culture.

so many servers, it's sad. it's 2024 why they can't make megaservers so all players from a region play together? Some games did it, some of the biggest MMO's did it, merging all players from a region (NA region, EU region, etc) so they can all play together. A lot of servers also mean you only play with a small % of the whole playerbase, even in your region, it's an old outdated system, modern mmorpg's should do better, it's disappointing.

@@rageonthis8123 wow doesn't have megaservers, i don't think you know what it is if you think that. I'm talking about games like GW2 or ESO. You don't have x servers, just EU region and NA region. When you're on NA you can play with every single player on NA. It's called "megaservers". The same way but better, Star Citizen is making something called server meshing but it's one special case. Megaservers should be the future of mmorpgs, why would we play with only 10% of a population on a region when it's possible to play with 100%.

After playing ESO, it's hard to go back to playing games where there are different servers and server restrictions. WoW still has dumb restrictions. Like you can't craft anything via work orders for your alts if they are on a different server. Also, WoW is a soulless gear grind. With gear that gets replaced every few months. Artificial time-gating nonsense for crafting. Awful game overall. Doesn't even have housing. WoW players who try other MMOs don't go back to WoW. They just don't know how good it is playing a better game. Any other major MMO released in the past 10 years is better than WoW. The only thing WoW has going for it is Skyriding.

Most the people who call this game bad because of p2w always say “you can just spend money and buy your armor and gear on the auction house” true but you can only buy the BASE LEVEL GEAR which is pathetically weak compared to actually maxing out the gear by playing. Also the really good weapons that drop from the world bosses will not be sold on the auction house, those weapons will be exclusive to the guilds they are dropped in for a long time. And by the time those guild are fully kitted out, and willing to sell those boss weapons, new weapons will have come out and those weapons are no longer best in slot. So is the game actually giga p2w if you can’t even buy the most important stuff?? Hell no.

Is there a way to ask AGS a question? I want to know if they will support and let us import our character files we saved from the open beta? We were not able to import files from the closed beta so I have to ask cause I wanna save as much time as possible to get in the game.

although I hate that inevitably whether ppl like this MMO or not , it will die one day in the near future in a year or two because of the heavy p2w it has , but at least it will be good and fun time burner in these couple years until the new MMOs come out

​@@Kimse05 auction house alone , what else ? literally f2p wont be able to swap between weapons or sets it is extremely punishable , swapping between weps is the biggest problem and dont start with the bullshit just farm like those hyperboosted andies claim :)) , i myself played in korea not hyperboosted and it is utter pain to even think about changing one weapon , not to say two ... , so there is definitely gap between f2p and p2w

What’s your definition of dead? I consider a dead game to be one that’s not being updated and has been abandoned by both the community and the developers, take EAs monster hunter like game called Wild Hearts, that game came out a little over a year ago and received 1 update with new monsters before EA shut down production, the servers are still on so you can play, but the game has no multiplayer anymore at all, there’s about 75 people that play daily. That’s dead. This game will still have tens of thousands even maybe a hundred thousand players a year or 2 down the line because it has both PC and console players and with the server merges the game will never feel dead even if players leave. New updates will bring players back and the game will continue to thrive for a long time but doomers will doom, if you think the game will die I guess just write it off as a failure and then check in on the game a year from now and regret not sticking with it ig

i mean you should know what to expect from a KR MMO at this point. it will be dragged out slowly to make the most money from you possible and it will be p2w to the point you will have to play 15+ hours a day (or bot or both) to catch up with the paying players like all these KR MMOs. If you are not a fan of that you should not play. or maybe play and complain after thats also valid 👌 Remember this is supposed to be "lineage 3" you WILL have to grind 24/7 literally thats why the game started with autofarm but people complained and got it removed now they just bot instead.

@@stareatyou people complained because the grinding was so intense because with auto play you were expected to grind all day and auto play all night. Also people didn’t want auto play because it made botting even easier to do. Another thing is auto play made the game feel lifeless, it’s no fun to run into someone and think “hey let me try and talk to this person” just to realize they are asleep and it’s auto playing. Now if you see someone you know it’s a real person playing the game who can maybe befriend or atleast have a conversation with or ask for help or offer help to. And if bots do exist as players we expect the game developers and AGS to deal with those bots in a timely manner and find a solution to the issue before it causes problems like in Lost Ark. expecting the game to be p2w because it’s from KR is honestly a fair assumption and it is a bit p2w but you need to look deeper and understand it’s not so p2w that you are gonna need to “play 15+ hours a day” to keep up. Even if you fall behind someone paying to win. They will hit a wall and you will catch up to them a week later. that amount of p2w is so bearable compared to a gacha game where they have SSR heroes at 15 stars and you’ve got your f2p B tier SSRs at 7* and they just one shot you, or in an MMO example they have months to years of progress more then you because they spent money and they just 1 shot you and you can’t ever dream of even damaging them even if they are standing still.
