@@xal7034 Because Chrom has range, lmao. With proper spacing and tippers any FE character can be viable vs. Little Mac who has to get up and personal to even do damage. Even Ganon, who was trash in Smash 4, can dominate Little Mac now with the changes to his moveset. Not to shit on Little Mac's character, but the only deeming trait of Little Mac is his ground game, but even that gets diminished when zoners, spacers, or just anyone with a good neutral can just hamper that.

Austin I disagree. His ground game isn't as good as it was in SSB4 but it's definitely a lot more consistent and it's not even remotely as easy to juggle or predict what the player is about to do given his move set changes were made to prevent exactly that. Fine, since we're all dick waggling about having to be a good mac to make commentary: Reverse Sol is a great mac player, and as I've seen more results of him and his play throughout the years than prolific, I'll venture to guess you probably shouldn't be too dismissive of him. I actually knew of his mac in smash 4 and thats because he got results and did work over dumping on other macs on the internet.

I know little mac is super fast, but still...it doesn't need to be just run speed. From what I see in this footage, possibilities could include illusion (specials which close the distance), needles (fast strong projectiles), something like that.

Mac is so weird to me. He’s in a weird Catch 22 as far as I’m concerned. If they buff what he’s bad at, people will say he’s too good. If they keep him the same, he’s still too exploitable with some characters. He’s way too polarizing. Chrom sucks at recovering, but his ground AND air options are so good that he makes up for it. To the degree where Mac needs Super Armor and a Frame 1 unblockable kill move to have a chance.

This single game just upped my Isabelle play by one notch. Plant Lloyd in stage and hide behind it, walling your opponent with ranged attacks. Use nair and utilt as get off me tools. Once you can get the opponent offstage if you can manage it, fish them and then throw them further offstage for a kill confirm on bad recovery smashers. Win

Mrchuckquizmo wow it was actually really easy to figure out. to do it, all you gotta do is be fairly close to the ledge and use your fishing rod when you’re exactly facing the ledge. you can’t use any attacks after this due to the fact that you would enter into a animation similar to Isabelle’s landing animation when her balloons have popped. I personally don’t see a use for this “trick” but it is pretty cool to catch the opponents off guard
