Everyone has bias, but slamming someone because of their character choice or playstyle just sours the entire game for me personally. If someone has strong feelings about a character or player, I'd prefer them to refrain from inserting it into their commentary. I just don't want this community to be super critical and toxic like previous iterations.

It is that in order to watch this match with audio, we have to sit through one dude going on and on about his own hateboner for 10 minutes straight. It's like if you go to a baseball game and the guy in the seat next to you won't shut up about how terrible this one pitcher is, even when he's not pitching or when he's winning. And you can't tune him out since he's literally shouting in your ear. If this was a presentation from... whoever that announcer is, on 'why the Belmonts are Trash' It'd be fine, since that would be the point of the video... but I came here to see GimR vs. Mogg not listen in on the 'Fuck the Belmonts' Audio Book while tourney gameplay is in the background.

I love the Belmonts, but I thought the commentary with them arguing about the Belmonts and each one having highs and lows based on how the match was going was hilarious. Definitely made this set a lot more memorable. Gimr if you see this don't listen to the haters on this one please. It's not like we need in-depth technical commentary for pools anyway. Pools is the perfect time for comedic commentary like this.

Personally, I dont think people take enough advantage of the Belmonts' full kit. The projectiles are amazing edgeguard potential, but for controlling center stage it seems to me to make sense to use the much faster, highly disjointed whip aerials (which you can angle). A lot of people just seem to zone with projectiles only, but the Belmonts' have potent range in almost all their attacks.

I'm not saying commentators can't have *any* bias or personal opinion, I actually love that about this community and its commentators, that they're allowed to express thoughts fairly freely. But this isn't just free thoughts, it's a mind dump of frustration. It sounds like he just got bodied by him earlier and wants to complain. Same with the stages. It's week 1, and no meta has really been established at this point. Calling a character objectively bad at this stage is just naive. Furthermore, Cloud couldn't get back in Sm4sh either... until people realized that he's insane.

I main Link and just picked up the Belmonts today and they are fun. Its pretty much a done deal once your opponent gets in or knocks you off the stage. I honestly thought the commentary was funny the whole time. I was more disappointed by gimr barely utilizing the fact that his bucket is a reflector when half the match was mogg spamming cross and axe. It could have helped him get off the ledge on castle siege since a reflected axe would either kill or absolutely destroy a shield, so mogg would have had to move.
