I'm not a mechanic just interested in the way things work. The best way to show what this EVO can do is use it to clear a blocked DPF. As you said most people who watch this channel want to know what works and how to fix a DPF problem.

Jimmy, just getting use to this tool(its great). What would you say, is an acceptable minimum amount of DPF soot content to have in healthy engine before it needs attention by a pro like you good self

Good stuff, Thanks for sharing. I got mine a while back, but never did a live reading, I have an 8 Cylinder Infiniti FX45 and I have cleaned all the grounds, changed Alternator with a new one, fixed the Valve Cover leaks with New Seals and Covers from Nissan. As I drive car after an hour or so, Car RPM starts jumping up and down, Temperature gauge stops working, AC stops working, AWD light comes on including a few other lights on the dash and car transmission doesn't want to change and when it does it kicks like a horse. So I thinking it has something to do with losing power, like a Body Throttle, Mass Air Flow Sensor, or even some kind of Vacuum leak? It's not electrical because the voltage on truck still reads 14 V. I am looking do reset the lights, reset check engine. and then hopefully it replicates the problem when I do a live reading driving around.

Jimmy, any chance this CRP129EVO will handle soot mass / DPF pressure adaptation and reset at LR DiscoSport 2020? or this one suits only older models? (sorry, i repeat the question in other 129 related videos - really want to double check prior to buy the item)

Ah yes I was specifically interested to see if it could graph. There isn't any info on the launch web site about pricing for updates nor could I find out if it was compatible with Sprinters

Launch diagnostic products are very limited and software is very unstable. Their report error system most of the time doesn't work......I would avoid them at all the cost. Better go with Autel brand

I am not working for Autel company or anyhow associated with Autel, im just sharing our hell we went through with Launch diagnostic machines and their software. Avoid Launch at any cost. Hope this helps

I got mine, when i perform dpf regen, after it tells to raise rpm up to 2500, and i press ok, it gives me error occured at the start. Does snyone know why?

Sometimes its because mimimum requirements are not met; only a guess.. engine temp, 1/2 tank of diesel and other requirements…

@@neildean7515 thanks for your info, one Mustelid went inside the hood and bit the hose that goes to turbo charger sensor, that made the engine light on and the coil light, plus Dpf, I took it to VW, replaced the hose and the mechanic brought his scanner and did the dpf regen for me. All faults was erased. After 3 days, the three errors showed up again, I took a look at the engine, I see bite marks on the same hose again. I bought this scanner and replaced the hose myself. When I do dpf regen it gives me that error even though tank is full and engine temp is high.

I did a DPF Regen at the weekend with this Launch CRP 129x (My Saturation lvl was 89%) I had the same error. It started to warm up at 2000 revs, then slowly climbed to 3500 and stayed there for about 6 minutes. But, the screen went blank!!!! There was an error on the screen when it cane back, but, the Regen was going on. After 6 minutes i aborted it, because the error was concerning and of course the DPF was at about 650oC. When i took it for a run, it seemed better and the diagnostics showed DPF saturation at 49%, which seems better. Duribg research today, i found out that saturation is 0-250% (why??). I thought 0-100% would be normal. I need more research to fully understand clearly, before i do next time. I will only do, if i feel i need it done. Concerned about damaging it!!! (Probably monitor readings)…anyway.. all is good. I changed oil, and Launch oil reset would not work!!! Error

@@shwanmohammed961 i would say the problem is elsewhere if thats the case. I had this issue and after dismantling and cleaning EGR and throttle body my fuel consumption and engine run better. (I had no Codes, just above). I also changed my SCV which cleared my rough idle… ). Good luck with your issues, i am not a mechanic, just an accidental tinkerer!!! Thanks and best regards

Hi I brought one but my car is range rover evoque dynamic 2014 and the Launch crp 129evo diagnostic tools give to me 2015 that is weird 🤣🤣🤣

Will this tool work with a Nissan nv200 1.5dci for dpf regeneration etc, thanks in advance for any advice jimmy.kind regards Geoff
