When you are doing a BMS Battery Reset, does it take you to a screen where you can enter the 4 values: 1) Capacity in Ah. 2) Battery type: AGM, wet, etc. 3) Serial Number and 4) Part Number. Does it do an ABS Bleed when doing a regular brake flush. Can you actually hear the ABS pump cycle?

Yes to all the above. However this is vehicle dependant. If the vehicle supports the options then can be done.

Very thorough , balanced review. Do you know how this model performs with JDM cars? Does it only read and clear codes or can (e.g) live data be viewed at least on some JDMs ?

Hi, from our experience as long as the Vehicle runs on a CanBus network then the data available is extensive. Anything prior to this is hit and miss on a car by car basis.

Is every Function unlocked or do you have to pay for certain functions? Basically you have the same function like in the normal sized X431 right? For example I want to code Start Stopp function on Mercedes.

Hi yes every function is available for coding as long as vehicle is compatible for the function.

I bought a LAUNCH x431 at a action Brand New still in the original box and shows papers when warranty started and ends. Being still under warranty i figure no problem until i found out it was built in China. So LAUNCH USA will not help me. After many emails back and forth to China, they said it was a internal issue and to send to them. Well shipping would cost $450.00 one way. So it seems they won. Be careful i would NOT purchase from LAUNCH, When you need help it wont happen. I have emailed LAUNCH USA and they wont respond. Very sad, Also original bx shows Amazon shipping so watch out a lot of these buy from China
