All of this website building stuff Is a lot to absorb. The hardest part is finding the right platform to use , especially if you are a beginner in developing websites for clients. And it cost so much money.

Thank you so much for this - woke up this morning and said I'm trying again today! I had a family member reference me that someone needed a website. I'm confident with squarespace and contemplated if being a Squarespace site designer would be something people would "go for" or needed. As time goes on I'm seeing people do! (Im b2b as well and my focus is small businesses needing growth). It's nice to see someone is actually doing it and I can add this to my services confidently. Thank you for the inspiration!

Such a valuable series, David! Thank you! Question: How do you get the small business to pay you over $2k for a website? Aren't small businesses more limited budget-wise?
@meetdavidalex2 жыл бұрын
Great question! There is a different between a small small business and a small business. For some, $2k is a stretch. For others, it's easy. That is where the intro call is most important to get a sense of where they are at :) The key: Make sure what you think is small, isn't actually bigger than what you think! Let the client clarify small and big (cheap and expensive)

Awesome videos! So when you design a website in squarespace how do you show it to the client? I don’t have a paid account or anything but I’ve built something and want to show it, can’t seem to take full length screenshots or anything.

Hey man quick question - If your clients photos of their products aren't so professional looking... how would you go about that? Edit them the best you can or take new ones for an extra price?

Ask client for better photos, or use stock photos, or just live with it - as the client wants what they want! :) PS. What are your thoughts on specializing as a webflow designer vs square space?
@meetdavidalex2 жыл бұрын
Great question - it really depends on what YOU want :) Squarespace is great and beautiful. Can you do custom work like Webflow? Not even close! But that doesn't mean it's not a good tool. Also, what i like to keep in mind is client maintence & project size. Client maintence is way eaiser on Squarespace than webflow - hands down this is the biggest thing most people overlook. But when it comes to project size, you can land larger projects, faster with Webflow - the only challenge there is the learning curve is larger to begin. :)
