I'm a single, 61 year old lady, who would love to spend a month at Nannie G's. I wouldn't fish but I would definitely travel to all the small towns and just use the shepherd's hut as a base. Sold! I could move into that shepherd's hut and live full-time! 😍Tiny Homes are a thing these days for people who can't afford big houses or just want a place that isn't an apartment. As Nanny Jean pointed out, many don't have toilets or hot water, not to mention a shower! Ryan, you can't buy a place with a lake, hot tub, two kitchens, all the appliances - and your grandparents just over the hill. IDK, I'd think about making a deal with them if I were you.🙃

These folk defiantly do not look like they are 70 years young! They look more like 60 to me. The French life must be doing the a lot of good. What a fantastic new venture, and a wonderful place for guests to stay! I too have run a holiday cottage next to my own home, then b & bs in further homes I have lived in, and loved meeting all the new folk, and making sure they were comfortable and happy staying with me. I miss that now, so although I have a little home, I have had lodgers, which has been fun. Now it is just me and my black rescue greyhound Madge! I do miss helping other folk, and enjoying seeing them enjoy themselves though. So at 66 years young myself, I may have another lodger at some point in the future, who knows?! Marketing 101, we need a link to the online website. We need to know where in France it is, how much she’s going to be charging and all the particulars. I’m sure there are people on this site that would love to come stay a few nights, even if they don’t fish. Also, with three or four slight upgrades, I’m sure she could charge more and give the true Glamping experience. You can’t say anything because you’re her grandson but I think others could give her some pointers on how to upmarket this.

I've just been gobsmacked with an idea! What does Nanny Jean think of providing a serving of her famous shepherd's pie to each paying guest upon arrival to the Shepherd's hut? She could add a small fee to cover cost, but as a paying guest, I would be thrilled to find a home cooked dinner ready to pop into the microwave upon my first night arrival. I can see me going, " Oh look! Shepherd's pie in a shepherd's hut! What hospitality!"

Their house looks like it could be plopped into my neighborhood! We have the river and ocean and they have two amazing lakes. Even the black lab looks like a neighbor's dog, Clover. I hope they have the best of luck and tons of repeat customers. Nanny Jean..wanted to be different but gave us more with the toilet and shower!
