No honestly more Emma and Brianna and Chad and the whole team. I like what you said Rex, it’s the “tribe” not just you two. I couldn’t put my finger on it before but now I realize that’s why I like Fancy Dan’s editing, because it feels like a third voice and reminds me there are more members in the tribe behind the scenes keeping the show rolling.

Hey guys, as a novice distiller I have a question. I'm being told far and wide that plastics and distillate do not mix. You have your distilled spirit contact Stainless Steel, Copper, Glass of PTFE (Teflon) only, and nothing else. I see you're storing your vodka at 190 proof in a plastic container. Now I know we ferment in HDPE2 containers and that works fine. Why are you guys using plastic to store your distillate, or is it simply not such a big issue and people are overreacting? If people are overreacting (and I think they might be), I'm just going to start storing mine in plastic as well. It's a lot cheaper and easier than trying to source huge glass containers the whole time. @whiskey tribe this Q is for you guys, just FYI. BTW huge fan. Keep it up!

I GOT IT!!! I know How they Are related! It started with Episode 146! The Spirit Eagle in his infinite wisdom KNEW Daniel would not stop being a shite as was requested! The Spirit Eagle while holding Rex in the blinding light of suspended MOOCHEY GLORY did confiscate a tuft of Rex's Hair. Using this hair, The Spirit Eagle extracted the power of Rex's Moochdom and combined it with a drop of all the best whiskies in the vault to concoct a potion to SPAWN THE GREATEST of all MOOCHES THAT WILL EVER BE, BRIANA!!! The Spirit Eagle knew that Briana would be immune to the constant barrage of Daniel's Dad jokes, a weakness Rex could never overcome! Therefore Briana is the Diabolical Essence of Rex, a Whisk(e)y Siren if you will!

At about the 6 minute mark, you said that trying to make cocktails with 190 proof 'vodka' would.... Let's just say that you implied it would be bad. I make my every night 'nightcap' with 190 proof grain alcohol, and what you said would happen hasn't happened yet. I've been drinking that mix for 4 years now (1 oz 190 proof, 16 oz SleepyTome tea).

Question: I probably missed something but on the Silly Goose vodka I got today I noticed the label says "distilled by GULF COAST DISTILLERS". Did Crowded Barrel not distill this themselves? Is it just re-labeled vodka from someone else?
@TehFrenchy293 жыл бұрын
I'm up in Canada so I'll unfortunately not be able to get any of the Silly Goose (yet, at least, depending on what the future holds) but it's great to see you guys are getting stuff you're happy with OUT the door not just coming in to you guys. I've also been drinking some Four Roses right now while I watched the video / wrote this comment. Started "really" drinking whisk[e]y back in Fall 2019 and found the Vault / the Tribe around the same time. I'm up to over a dozen different whisk[s]ys tried, whether I bought them myself or they were on offer from someone else (before this whole COVID thing) and after a year and a half I think it's pretty safe to say I'm a full whisk[e]y convert. With you guys releasing a vodka too I'll have to also keep my eyes open for some of that. Cheers, to the whole team at Crowded Barrel. Stay safe and drink up!
