Aldi totally does instacart (pick up); such a lifesaver!💓 Also Tiegan of Half Baked Harvest has a cookbook called ‘super simple’ and it’s by far my favorite of hers… faster, less ingredient dishes that taste so complex and incredible… tons of instant pot/slow cooker recipes too… perfect for… always 🤣!

Aldi does have curbside pick up. There is a $3 fee to do it, but is helpful when you can’t make it to the store to shop.

Make a big pot of Chicken and Dumplings Soup to break down into smaller containers and Freeze for the future. Also a big pot of Chili is great to do the same thing. A big pot of Spaghetti sauce can also be portioned out and put in the freezer.

Wow so much goes into running a household! When my mom had shingles a few months back, my sister and I learned the hard way how many things have to keep rolling at the same time. You’re doing great! And what was that soup? It looked yummy! 😋

I feel you in the grocery area 😭 We too have a set budget. It was almost consistent that I was going over budget, even when I adjusted the type of meals/meats we eat. I switched to strictly ground beef and chicken meals and only purchasing fruit/veggies in season. That seemed to help but in the end my husband and I ultimately decided to up the budget by a little.

You're a great homemaker, Ashley! I'm a 30 year old stay-at-home daughter and love homemaking skills. :) I agree: groceries are expensive and the prices keep rising. $80.00 is a good food budget for 2 I spend $100 a week and every two or three months I go to costco for all our meat and split it into smaller portions. Meal planning helps alot I also make bigger portions and freeze the other half for another night.

I'll get Dwell if it's free. I have a free app that lets you listen to the Bible: dramatized or undramatized version. OMG, I'm the same. I try to save $50-$60 per week for groceries. I'll end up getting $70. Today I spent $30, just to get stuff for tonight. LOL, my ex never showed me the budget (I guess I could have asked him to). So, I didn't know how much we could spend on groceries. I love grocery shopping. Maybe because I worked for a grocery store twice in my life.

I love this! I shop at Aldi too. It's such a good store and things are a little cheaper. It's hard to find good food at great prices these days. I enjoyed seeing you make the soup today. It looked really good!🎄
