Yes I absolutely did that. It's just 6 inch straight pipe through the wall. The flap outside was stuck because of dust, but I cleaned that as well.

Have you ever had to take the washer and dryer out to repair without damaging the countertop and cabinets??? I'm not sure where you put the water supply to shut the water off and disconnect the exhaust vent and then to reinstall everything when it's cleaned and repaired. This is what I'm wanting to do - the sink I don't have room for it, so I'm just looking to install the front loaders side by side under an existing marble countertop with wall cabinets against the ceiling... GREAT VIDEO...

Not sure if the top is screwed down for access to W/D when they break down. Maybe units slide out? Regardless, very well thought out and well constructed. Looks great. 👍 Just remodeled my laundry room and believe me, it’s smaller than this one. I used marble for my top - looks nice but heavy. Waterproof Pergo for floor. Didn’t know Ikea made cabinets as I made mine from scratch. IKEA is good.

There are 2 screws on both sides, and after removing them the top will slide out with side panels. The sink will stay in place alone. That makes removing the washer and dryer easier and arranging the hoses nicely. Another option is to just pull out the machines under and unplug the cables/hoses.
