Thank goodness your husband knows how to remove and eradicate the moldy flooring, insulation, etc. You are all doing a yeoman's amount of remodeling work. Such a blessing. Roper washer and dryer from Lowe's---best buy ever for me. Made in USA and should be around $800 or $900 for the pair. Simple white, side-by-side set with an adgitator---which I think is essential in a washer. I've had my pair for 5 years and love it! Love your videos---y'all are doing a great job!

Girl power!!! Way to go rehabbing that trailer. It’s looking so homey. Your landlord is very blessed that y’all moved in and took on a total rehab. We did the same when we move to a small town in NC. Rentals were impossible to find, so we found an abandoned old house that the owner let us fix up in exchange for rent. When we left, he had a nice home he could now rent out.

Your trailer is starting to look like a comfy & cozy home with all of the work you're doing. Can't wait to see the final outcome for the whole trailer. We decided to purchase a front-loading Maytag washer and dryer set. The reason why was due to the fact that the washer doesn't have to be drained every month of stagnant water sitting in the overflow catch basin. We found out about having to do this when we bought a Samsung set and 2-3 months later our laundry room and washer smelled like rotten eggs and we couldn't figure out the problem. We had a maintenance tech come in to check out the washer and he said our problem was the overflow basin was filled with stagnant water and showed us where the drain for this was located and how to do it. He said to drain it every month or two depending on how often it's used or if we start smelling rotten eggs again. We decided to sell the set and purchase a set that drains the overflow by itself. At the time, 4 years ago, Maytag was the only brand that offered this feature so we bought the set. I'm totally invested in your renovation videos and so happy when a notification comes through that you've uploaded a new one.

I have a Maytag stackable since 2007 and have never had a problem with them. I was curious why so many people complained about odor with frontloaders. I always use bleach on my linens and wash them last so I assumed that was the difference. Will definitely stick with Maytag as long as I can get them.

We just recently purchased a new washer and dryer a month ago. My brother owns a furniture/appliance store and he recommended 'Speed Queen'. It was a bit pricey but I'm loving it and feel it was well worth the money. Your home is looking so cozy and inviting after all you and your family's hard work. That landlord should be ashamed for even contemplating renting that place in the condition you found it.

Watching you clean the furnace really takes me back. When I was a little girl, my dad made a living working on cars and mobile home furnaces. I would go along with him when I wasn't in school and hold the flashlight and hand him tools while he worked. You're such a hard worker!!

I have always lived in a mobile homes one thing u should do if u have bad winters. Check your pipes especially the ones on exterior walls make sure to have enough insulation to avoid pipes freezing and breaking in the winter. For the water pipe coming up from the ground into the mobile home make sure to wrap that good in heat tape. Broken pipes in winter is a true nightmare. We just bought a new washer dryer set Samsung top loader I'm loving this set. I don't have much to compare it to it's our first new washer and dryer lol. Married 30 yrs come October and we were given a used set about 25 yrs ago( whirlpool) and it's has finally died 😢. The laundry room is turning out beautiful LOVE your decorations. Can't wait for the next video ❤️

I enjoy watching your videos! I am a mobile home person myself. I bought a 1986 Oakwood in Nov of 2007. It was a mess too. I did not know a lot about diy, I knew how to paint, garden and make things look good. Since I bought this mobile home I've learned how to do subfloor work, basic plumbing, installing toilets, vanities, sinks and faucets. It has and still is an adventure. I also am thinking about starting a furniture restoration flipping side hustle. I have always got used furniture and fixed it up for myself. Just sharing from one mobile home liver to another : )) Keep up the good work! Proud of you and yours!! P.S I have the same curtains hanging on my back door. I don't use the backdoor, I have a cabinet there, But hung some curtains to make it look nice. The flowered curtains blue and grey you can see them in your video. Just relating!!! (got um at the dav .99, I love it)

Fantastic job, looks awesome. With all the work you guys are doing maybe you should just buy that mobile home. The view is heavenly!!!! Tip, "MAKE SURE THE PIPES UNDER THE TRAILER ARE WRAPPED AND HAVE A HEATER. I'VE LEARNED FROM EXPERIENCE, MANY BURST PIPES. Also make sure all of the underneath of the trailer is insulated!!!! A very expensive expense that I could have avoided. Also when it gets cold, 32 degrees and below. Put every faucet you have on hot water drip, including your tub. This will help them from freezing. I'm in Texas now but was born and raised in Massachusetts. The winters are brutal on mobile homes.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I have a Samsung HD washer and dryer, first time they’re rather big so I Tandomed them and I’ve had them for four years and never an issue. Maytag is a really good. Such a coincidence that my husband and my soon to be forever home,(if we can EVER get through this MAJOR makeover!)is identical to your rental. We always try to be positive and remind ourselves that when we're finished, we'll have less in our forever home that people are giving for a new truck!🤓 Since your rental is almost identical to ours, I enjoy watching you do your magic and compare the small differences in our homes. We don't have the half wall at the washer/dryer area and makes it seem so much larger, but at the same time, I don't like the fact that it's the first place your eyes go to when you walk in the front door. I've thought of a way to conceal it without building a wall and hope it still feels open and airy. BTW, had the same mold and rot in the same exact floor place. We removed the old oil heater, wood stove and electric heaters is what we have used in our old home, so that gave us more room in the kitchen and that's the spot the fridge will sit. Our home was in a MUCH worse shape than your rental but we have slowly tackled each project with the mindset this is our forever home. Taking extra pains has given my my body extra pain.😂 But one day we will get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. You're doing an amazing job and looking forward to your next video.
