It looks so nice. I like the light floor in your bedroom. Like someone said add a nice rug in there. It is you private area so should be easier to keep clean. Our floors are painted that same darker color. A good brand porch paint. I would have loved the light color but too hard to keep clean. We are two seniors with a senior dog and 2 cats. After a couple of years we just painted over some spots that had scratched up. It was easy to make them look new again. It will be necessary in a couple of areas like by the dog bed every so often but not hard. I love the look of the quilt with everything else in your bedroom. Also has a nice fall look to it. We live in a 1930s shotgun house. We only have one closet in the entire house. We have a shelf behind the bedroom door and a 9 cubby shelf by the bathroom door. Another nice wooden shelf by the tub from an antique store and an over the toilet shelf. It came with a big six hook towel holder which is big emough for us 2. I was able to add a 5 rack shelf for pantry use and a small table with drawers for a coffee bar with coffee pots and blender on it in the kitchen. When you have a snall space you have to just figure it out make it work. I would love to find a vintage armoire to put in place of that cubby but none in the budget yet. We will be staying here now. Our little retirement house. How wonderful you can look forward to your dream house. I would be happy to move in your mobile home when you leave. He will have people waiting in line. Such gorgeous grounds and those mountains. What a fabulous job and such hard work. Rest your knees when you can.

Maybe DIY for a sliding door on that closet. Also if you move the folded quilts to the bottom and the baskets up it would look less cluttered. You dressed that bed three times so far. The energy you give is. Beautiful thank you!!!

Hey Val TIP: Have your husband cut some wood risers to go under your king size bed legs.This will give you valuable storage space. Another thing, as crazy as this may sound, paint the lead wall, headboard wall in a very dark color, dark grey or black paint It will give you depth creating the feeling of a larger room What you have done with this mobile home is beyond belief. The thing looked like it’s occupancy life was over and it was ready for scrap. You have the energy of the Energizer Bunny!!

Yes my husband is 69. He cooks, cleans, does laundry and will organise the refrigerator and freezer. He has been like that since I met him 35 years ago. He had a great mom and 7 siblings. Next to oldest. I was an only child and my mom was not into homemaking at all. I will clean too and keep a tidy house but in my bad health he has done it all.

You have totally transformed that rental! I'm not sure you'll be able to fit your king bed in that bedroom. I would take measurements before you try to move it in. When we downsized we didn't do that and our king bed took up the whole room. We had to sell it and get a queen. Btw, I love the lighter colors on the bed.

Another great video Valerie! I am going to be 72 very active I walk every single day with my 🐶 I have arthritis in both my knees and actually walking and moving helps that. Living in Massachusetts the winter plays havoc on my knees but other than that I seem to be doing OK.. you are doing a wonderful job I’m so glad that I found your channel.. Hello it’s Jacque here did you read my comments about those storage bags their big an awesome holds lots of stuff and you can use vacuum to pull the air out and it gets flat also it’s those underneath the bed storage containers also

Yes, I've just seen it. I think that's a really good idea. I had some but they never held the seal. I should definitely look into getting some more. The blankets are getting a little out of control at the moment and I can't bring myself to get rid of any of them so a vacuum bag would be perfect.

Valerie, What a great job you are doing on your home. I so enjoy watching you clean. FYI, I never had a dishwasher for many years, so when I had a lot of dishes to do (4 boys and a hubs), or would not do dishes one night, I would get behind. I would get a baby bathtub and fill it with scalding water and soap, and let my dishes soak over night. Wow,, did that help . I bet one would fit on that corner of your counter right by your sink are if needed. I would also consider a portable dishwasher if you could. It would make your life easier. Just a thought.

Hello Valerie, I enjoy your video's. I want to say Welcome to the Country! I live on a farm in western Oregon. I have found it impossible to keep my floors clean and my furniture dusted for more than a couple of days. Summer months are the hardest. With that said, I wouldn't ever move back to town. Finally! Someone else that puts two pillow cases on their pillows! I watch so many cleaning channels and none of them put on two cases. I mean I don't actually get it because they all put mattress pads on before the fitted sheet, but nothing but a single pillowcase on their pillows. I was so happy to see this. Lol By the way, the blue pillows and comforter go nice with the curtain in the room, but then so does the quilt. You could use the small blue pillow as an accent to bring out the blue in the curtain over your closet.

I’ve never heard of putting on two pillowcases. I only use one pillowcase but I also have zippered pillow protectors on all of my pillows. Learn something new everyday.

@@djterry1218 The second pillowcase is kind of a replacement for the zippered pillow protector you use on your pillows. I've had those in the past, but the metal zipper bothered me while I was sleeping. So, I went back to using two regular pillow cases instead. I just put them on in opposite directions so that the whole pillow is covered.
