Miele is a solid brand. But don't be lured into believing that all products last for 20 years with minimal servicing. I have purchased several Miele appliances over the years including a Miele Tumble Dryer. At £2200 it was significantly more expensive than all of the rest of the available dryers on the market. Full disclosure, I bought a Miele Washing Machine in 2014. It had a 10 year parts and labour warranty. The dryer only had a two-year warranty. Two months after the warranty expired, the dryer started leaking. Two service visits later, I was told a pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The repair and parts cost over £350. The last technician said it was the first pump he'd replaced on this machine in all his time at Miele. With this in mind, and aware of Miele's reputation for building quality long-lasting products, I proposed to Miele that they waive the invoice. After all, it was just after the warranty, but only two years into my "twenty years of reliability." Miele would not play ball at all and insisted the bill needs to be paid. £2550 is an awful lot of cash to be spending on a tumble dryer, when Bosch offer a heat pump tumble dryer for £500. Customer Service were not helpful at all. Just be mindful that good products do go wrong, don't expect Miele to stand by their 20 years of reliable service claims.

Can you please ask whoever that man is if he would like to marry me please? I have been pulling my hair out. I always read the manual but the manual is in Portuguese because that is where I am and I don't speak Portuguese! Anyhow, I'll wait for his answer. ;)
