1982: Played her first single, "All Night with Me" on radio. Atlantic sent me a copy of the LP, with a note that "Gloria" would be the next single. Instantly added and they were right. Loved the voice from the first hearing, and the rest of her when the LP showed up. Gone way too soon at 47. Miss her far too much.

I was obsessed with this song when it came out. It was sad to see her singing in a dingy gay bar shortly before her death here in Boston. 80;s fame was tough on many singers who could not carry there success into the 90s and beyond

I remember that I had seen just a preview image of this performance on a page of the BBC (England's Website) but the video was not available in my country so I could not see. I have a picture of her with Leo Sayer. That's true, although she always had the talent and magic to be on stage, with practice, reached more perfection and confidence. Working on radio in 1982. Played her first single, "All Night with Me". Atlantic sent me a copy of the LP, with a note attached: "Gloria is next". So I switched to that track, and that paid off. A #2 single, 39 weeks on the charts, and I fell in love with her. Good to hear a live rendition here. Wish she could have been here as the St. Louis Blues' use of the song after wins, all the way to the 2019 Stanley Cup, brought the song to new generations of listeners. Be at peace, Laura.
