Grace is her mother's maiden name. She said in the Rolling Stone interview that she always had a strained relationship with her father (and that relationship went away completely after she came out as transgendered) so she felt more comfortable with her mother's name.

A general sign of respect. When somebody chooses to live as a woman, its common to call them by thier name when they come out publicly. Just how those things work.

This was in April before she officially came out but...she never changed her gender. Sex and gender are 2 different things. She's always been "she." She just decided to tell everyone and quit living a lie in misery. She's taking hormones which take may take a year or more for the full effect. She's also planning on getting surgery in the future. Also there are women who are more masculine anyway just like there are men who are more feminine. just saying.

hrt does not change your voice, you have to do voice training for that and I imagine she'll keep on singing in her normal voice even if she does train her speaking voice.

HRT can't undo changes that testosterone has already done to the vocal chords. She could go through voice therapy to speak in a more feminine voice but that wouldn't change how she sings.
