Nestor Makhno That’s your takeaway? You watched this entire video, and despite Laura clapping her hands, and talking about people being people, your focus was on the stupid background? You might not be the target audience.

@@Turtlefaceful Sorry but being distracted by the corporate messaging in this video definitely sits you right in the core of her target audience. If you can't feel how palpable the irony is in her having to sing this song in front of that back drop then either you're not quite getting the message of the song :P

We're all presidents, We're all congressmen, We're all cops In waiting. We're the workers of the world. There is the elite and the dispossessed And it's only about survival, Who has skill to play the game For all it's worth, Reaching out for a scary kind of perfection. Let's try to keep As much emotion out of this As possible. Let's try not to remember any names. We'll do it for our country, For our people, For a moral vision. United, we'll make them remember Our history, Or how we like to be told How we like to be told, And we rock, Because it's us against them. We found our own reasons to sing, And it's so much less confusing When lines are drawn like that, When people are either consumers or revolutionaries, Enemies or friends hanging on the fringes Of the cogs in the system. It's just about knowing where everyone stands. All of a sudden, People start talking about guns, Talking like they're going to war 'Cause they found something to die for. Start taking back what they stole; Sure beats every other option, But does it make a difference how we get it? Well, do you really fucking get it?

Corporate stuff can be pretty lame but I personally think the bigger picture is that Laura got asked to play this high profile event and picked this song out of a huge catalog of music. Definitely a pretty big fuck you to the system in my opinion, which is cool. P.S. nothing related to this but just as important...your profile pic kicks ass. @@kittykatkatie2 Recognizing someone as having gender dysphoria, multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia or any other mental disorder is not bigotry, and it is based in science. They are all different psychological disorders, that's a fact. And trying to understand or care for someone isn't a sign of hate, it's a sign of compassion. Gender dysphoria is a gender identity disorder, it should be self evident, but please look it up for yourself. Your response was purely emotional. You made wild and unbased assumptions in attempt to dismiss me and therefor my perspective. You then tried to control the situation by telling me to keep my opinions to myself. It's ironic that you call me rude. You literally countered none of my points but instead wrote nothing more than a paragraph of ad hominem attacks against me.
