Laura Mercier powder foundation is excellent. I have very challenging, mature, sensitive skin with rosacea, and this is the only foundation that I can comfortably wear that covers well. I use an Hourglass foundation brush to apply and the effect is very nice, smooth and long lasting. I apply moisturizer first (I use Aveda for sensitive skin) and let it dry before I apply foundation. i finish with Bobbi Brown bronzer in Antigua at strategic points on my face and also as blush and Bobbi Brown Luxe pink buff on my lips. It's a simple look that covers what I don't like about my skin and emphasizes what I do like.

Thanks I bought it yesterday at sephora and they tried under my foundation and I tried today over my foundation I will see what works better for my dark circles thank you!

Linette Miles definitely go over the foundation. Take a look at some of my tutorials and I always put the concealer when my foundation is done. :)

Excellent advice on using this product. I also appreciated the insight and opinion on the tinted moisture. I also broke out unbelievably. Did not expect it, and had purchased so many Laura Mercier products at the time and as a result returned all of them including the secret camouflage because I was scared to use anything from the line. This happened 2 years ago and now I want to purchase the concealer again and try it. Thank you for your demonstration.

What color are you holding? Did I miss that? I’m sorry if I have. It seems online the first lightest one is darker than the second one up. SC-1 seems darker than SC-2. Can you help. I am fair neutral. 🤞🏻

Do you go over your foundation with this concealer or under?

Linette Miles I go over my foundation with this but lets just say you want to conceal the imperfections first then I would use this concealer first to do that and go over with foundation - light or full coverage foundation will be fine. Or you can just conceal with this palette and honestly will give you a natural look :)

I just came across your video as I was searching for reviews on the secret brightening powder. I have (what I feel like are) bad dark circles and now I might go to Sephora and get the Secret Camouflage. Would you compare it to Benefit's Boi-ing concealer?

Hi sofia! This is much more pigmented then the benefits boi-ing. I never felt the boi-ing gave me great coverage for my dark circles. I'll be honest this concealer and the brightening powder are must haves!!!!Sofia Burton

I have to break out my LM products again - I have been using that "non-concealer" for years off and on, and it's really fantastic. Thanks for reminding me I have it! I only purchased the last one a few months ago and somehow it got pushed out of rotation again. Time to bring it back out (especially with spring time allergies making those pesky circles look even worse)!

Can I ask if you need to wet the brush prior to using the secret camouflage concealer? I bought it but it feels kind of dry and it’s hard to even get some of it on the brush

No you don't have to. But you can warm the product up on the top of your hand with your ring finger and then apply it.

Just found your channel and subscribed!! I NEED a good concealer...does this crease or settle in to fine lines at all throughout the day? I am 43 and was told that I need creamy concealers...but they don't cover enough of my very dark circles. Good tip on how to press the powder in too... Thanks for a great review!!

+MMacKent You will love this concealer! Honestly creamy concealers will jsut crease. Thats why I do not mention them often. If you do not have success with this one than try Nars rAdiant creamy concealer which I have a review on my channel. Or Mac Prolongwear xo

hello and thank you for your review about this product my skin tone is at yellow I took the CS3 tone of the concealer i still havent used it but cant wait to use it and I didn't get a setting powder . I have a question after finishing your eye concealer did you add foundation to your face ?

You can! It all depends on how you do the application. You can add a light layer of your foundation and then go in and conceal everything. Or you can do the opposite. Either way is fine. Whatever suits you best!

do you have oily skin? coz this is very dry concealer but it seem working perfect for you, i wanna buy it but i m combinational will it work for me? you dont even warm it up with your fingers but it works great ,when others say it is very dry if not work with fingers

Дарья dd Hi! I do not have oily skin - I am normal to dry. It will work well with combination skin too because of the consistency of it. No warming up at all. You can also apply it with your fingers and it blends excellent. I normally use my fingers to apply concealers because the warmth from your skin will set it in place. But a brush is just as good and the ones I mentioned from Sigma are excellent . Hope this helpss :)

Josephine, will this work for the hollows under eyes? I have those, have had them since I was a child, now I am your mom's age I am sure, and they are worse, dark circles with that hollow edge around the under eye in a circle. You do such a great job, have changed how I put makeup on. I look better. Thank you. Daisy

Hey Josephine, I would like to try the Laura Mercier Camouflage too but I cant test it because our shops in germany dont have it :/ only online.. Could you say if you would prefer the SC01 or SC02 for a very pale (yellow) skin? At MAC my foundation is NC15, so the lightest they have.

+PuuuPiii heyyy!! Ok so im nc25 and im using SC2 from Laura Mercier. So go with the SC1. Mind you I do go a little lighter on the concealers because i like to highlight my under eyes bc of my darkness. But i think SC1 will be a good match for you.

When I use powder under my eyes, even the smallest amount, to me it's emphasizes fine lines. Do you have that problem with this powder?

Renee Morrow Hey Renee! I actually do not have that problem with this powder thats why I like it so much!! I was quite impressed with the fact that it kept my concealer in place all day and I didnt even have to touch up OR blend away any creasing. :)

I find the secret brightening powder really does conceal and brighten the under eye area. The loose powder for the face is good to but it doesn't give the same, result
