I love that you can actually see the makeup on your skin! A lot of beauty gurus use a skin softening camera and bright ass lights! I always wish I could actually see what the makeup looks like in person! So thanks for keeping it real cuz I know it's not the most flattering to have the camera all up in your pores! Hahaha

A DR there is someone by the name of hotandflashy I hope I got it right, she use lights but when she shows you, she zooms in.I really appreciate it.the rest, I only watch for reviews like top eyeshadows from drugstoreetc.that's it.cos like you said, those bright lights..to me they make everything look nice.

I agree ! We all have wrinkles,pores and pigmentation. I really love how she actually shows how it performs on normal skin as opposed to showing us a bogus review with heavy lights and medium shots with soft focus/ blur filter. It drives me nuts when a guru is reviewing something and they use camera trickery my favorite is the pore primers Jesus ! It's nice to see a real guru for once

It looks like the brightening powder covered the darkness better. You can definitely tell the difference. Beautiful makeup look!

The eye brightening powder works WONDERS for my under eye area! Especially since I have dark circles + eczema its so much more finely milled than the translucent one :) love love!

I honestly love the brightening powder better on you! I felt like the translucent brought out your dark circles more in my opinion. Now I'm not sure but it could be because it's being filmed. Maybe if I saw in person then I could see what you see because personally, the secret brightening powder took the win on this!!

I feel like they both look the same, I can see the darkness thru both, but I actually think the translucent side looks a lil dryer directly in the under eye lines that we all have. Idk, but that's the only difference I see. Tho, I don't think either one looks bad. Another thing, I think maybe the secret brightening one shouldn't be used to bake, or like to pack on like u can with the translucent one. Maybe just to lightly set it and maybe it wouldn't look so ashy on medium to deeper skin tones. Thanks for this video girl. ❤

I have combo skin so I find it difficult to use a setting powder sometimes. The ones that say "all day" sounded so perfect, but in the end I would have to powder at least twice. Really love this video so hopefully you do more to help a girl out! much love! 💕

Have you tried the Cover FX perfect setting powder? I like that one under my eyes more than the LM translucent and secret brightening bc those LM ones tend to be drying on me. The Cover FX is much smoother but more costly. I do use the LM translucent on my T zone tho bc I am oily. Secret brightening give flash back on me.

I like the secret brightening powder better. The translucent powder made my under eyes look cakey no matter what I did. I'm very pale so the white doesn't bother me. I totally agree that the secret brightening powder could be to harsh if you have darker skin. She has the dark setting powder now and I heard that is really good for darker skin.

I just thought I should let everyone know that the secret brightening powder comes in 2 shades. sephora only carries shade 1 but Nordstrom carries shade 2 which is for med to dark. I love shade 2 it's amazing!

The loose powder dried me out like a prune after a month. I was actually getting dry , flaky, crepey skin. I loved the sheer cover and finished look it gave to my foundation. But I had to stop using it and my skin improved within a few days. Anyone else have this problem with LM loose powder?

I tried all different powders and compact powders under the eyes.... but once i heard a makeup artist in a work shop talking about the bobbi brown compact powder in the shade Golden that does really brighten and smooth the under eye area... i went out and bought it and since then it became my holly grail under eye powder

I really like how informative this video is. Great job! Also I'm not sure if the secret brightening is the same size as the translucent travel size. The larger size is definitely cheaper if you compare how much you get even though is is around $10 more

Yassss, I love my Laura Mercier Translucent powder, sometimes I used it to bake my concealer and I use it to set my concealer all the time and nothing works better. My concealer legit doesn't move turn flaky and dry. I love it, not to mention Ive had mine for a while now and use it almost everyday still have a lot left.

I am trying this product too.you are really on point.You can't use white against black, you'd look grey.so for my under eye in still using my bobbi brown loose in pale yellow to set.what I like about the translucent is that I only need to use a little and even when i sweat, I look glowy vs bb loose which makes me look like the back side of my mother's pan after a long and hot day.I'm open to try another translucent if there is any that's better than laura m.

Personally I like the brightening powder better. I have the translucent but I guess I have a dry under eye area cause it looks dry AF when I use it but that definitely doesn't happen with the secret brightening powder.

Did you use shade 1 or 2? If you used shade 1 than thats for fair to medium skin tones but you need shade 2. Thats one reason its not working out for you cause you need the right shade. Another reason is that you got to place the powder directly on the dark circle with a brush that can get in the nooks and crannies cause the blender just goes around the circle especially the way you're patting it which makes the dark circle look more noticeable since your mainly covering around it and not directly on it. The application of this product plays a big role

I think maybe the bright lights in your room made it hard for you to tell which one was better but in my opinion the brightening powder covered the dark circles better than the translucent, but either way looked great!💖

Try using the brightening powder after correcting with a peach concealer before using your regular concealer 🙌🏽👌🏾. It'll cancel that darkness out. I can't NOT use corrector lol

personally I like the brightening powder better. My skin tone is like yours. I don't bake with this powder because it looks to light on my skin tone. I tap my beauty blender ones on the powder and that's all use and love how it looks.

Maybe you should use a color corrector under your eyes for the darkness and either powder may work for you because it looks like the concealer you used didn't cover the darkness enough maybe those concealers aren't full coverage. I felt like you could see the darkness equally through both powders.

I actually think the translucent brings out the darkness, and it makes it look a bit green-ish, considering the translucent has a slight yellow tint. but you use too much of both, you're not supposed to bake.
