To be honest, I tend to hate most of today's music but Laura Veirs is one whose music I love. I bought 'Carbon Glacier' solely on the strength of having heard 'Chimney Sweeping Man' for the very first time whilst lying in my bed and listening to a late night radio show called 'The Blue of the Night' on Lyric FM station. That album is amazingly good. I then purchased ' Saltbreakers' and it is every bit as great as 'Carbon Glacier' ... Laura epitomises what true, genuine musical talent is .
