Guuuuurrrrl. Why don't you do a series called, "Makeup-Mishap-Mondays," where you go through all the different types of makeup. For example, one week you do foundation, the next concealer etc and you go through the different types of that certain product. You could show how to apply the different types, using them with different products, mistakes people could make, problems people have and how to remedy those problems. I think a series like that would be very helpful and could be really popular for your channel.

TIP: Its best to apply moisturizer after you shower because the steam from the shower takes away all of your natural moisture. That's why it is recommended to not take too hot or long showers(but we all do anyway :D) Its also best to wash your face last(if you do in the shower) because shampoo and other things can clog your pores!

You should check out Desi perkins new video on covering up blemishes. Its amazing! and she legit has some problem skin in the video. . very encouraging. We all go through acne during that time of the month and for me more than just that time and even past my twenties but I've learned to cover it up. Good luck!

I don't necessarily think that's true. If you slather on super thick foundation and concealer everywhere to hide your blemishes, it can look very cakey and unnatural, which I think looks pretty bad sometimes. The point is to use ONLY as much as you need. Start small and build. Maybe use a fuller coverage foundation and concealer so you don't have to use as many layers. I also see a lot of people who have nice skin who think that they have bad skin just because their idea of skin is literal airbrushed perfection. No one has that. Just cover up a little redness or acne and leave the rest alone. I think it looks very unnatural when your entire face is one color with no shadows, gradations, etc.

Isela Mohammed I am always concentrated on my skin problems - that's my point. I'm just saying that it's not as easy as "hey try this $4 face wash from the drugstore and be cured" and I wish people understood that. A lot of skin 'problems' are long term, they cause permanent damage or they require medical assistance to treat.

Queen Bee my favorite drugstore primer is the milani prime and light, my skin type is pretty oily this time of year, and this primer works amazing on me. for setting spray I use the wet n wild one, it's $5.99 and it locks my makeup in place! the nyx ones work great as well, I've used the matte one and I'm about to test out the dewy one. my skin's changed types so many times now, so if your skin is super dry I could probably help you out there as well!

Polynoe88 lol you need to work on your reading comprehension. No where did the person say different skin colors. She said skin TYPES. As in oily vs dry and such. Mariam A I would get a Shade or two lighter than what you normally wear since it oxidizes. That way if/when it gets darker, it will actually be your shade. Unfortunately there's nothing you can really do to a foundation that oxidizes unless you add a lightening agent to it like a lighter colored foundation to your WetnWild but it would be easier just to get 1-2 Shades of a lighter foundation you really enjoy

Personally, i've found that putting product on top of product on your nose actually makes the separation a lot worse. I saw another video recommending using eyeshadow primer instead of face primer on your nose and so far thats the only tip i've tried that works for me. Using the minimal amount of product on top of the eyeshadow primer is personally the best route to go! Hopefully some of you will try it and let me know how it works for you!! :)

MAC Soft Ochre Paint pot is great to put on your nose as a base before applying foundation. I had the same issue where foundation wouldn't stick to my nose and ever since I started putting soft ochre it's stayed perfectly!!!!!!

The number one thing that worked for my super dry skin was washing it less. I know that sounds crazy but if you wash your face more than once a day (like in the shower or taking off your makeup) it dries it out just like over washing your hands dries them out. Use an oil based face wash and just be careful not to strip your face of its own oils and barriers. I used to wash my face twice a day and now that I've cut back I have a heathy glow and all my dry patches have healed. Hope this helps!!

Lanely Osorio either get a better foundation or try different primers, I had the same issues and I just figured out that better foundations work best, and also primers, try no primer, try only a little , try no concealer atop, you have to experiment because I did and eventually I found what works, I usually just do my Milani 2 in 1 foundation and it's great and no concealer or anything, just primer and foundation, I have dry skin also, so hopefully any of this helps

Vitamin e oil saved my dry skin!!! I'm not sure how much oil you're using but I literally look like a greased chicken before I go to bed 😂 also, it takes time. It took me about a month before my skin stopped getting dry and flaky. Everyone's skin is different though, it's really just trial and error with different product until you find what works for you. Tarte maracuja oil is heaven sent but it's a little on the pricy side but it's amazing.

Dulce Anguiano concealer often has more coverage than a foundation but you can totally use foundation as concealer if you don't have concealer at hand. Some formula's are too cakey for it though.

you can but it'll give you the foundation coverage not the use as concealor coverage and it may crease easier but I personally do that method sometimes I like how it feels on the skin

Dulce Anguiano I would suggest using a concealer as typically concealers are thinner than foundations. Unless the foundation you have is thin/light you risk looking cakey but that's just my opinion

Missing Laura, hope she comes back soon! Some people will always try to find something to make a big deal over, and enjoy bringing others down to make themselves feel like they're important! We all make mistakes & much bigger mistakes than an old tweet that offended people who are always offended! Hopefully Laura starts back & just tells people "I am a human being who's always evolving like everyone else" & just keeps moving forward! I really hope this crap doesn't stop her from moving forward! Put in the work & those of us who love you & your content will be here, new people will come along & so will other drama for people to focus on! Love & prayers Laura's way!!

I have super dry skin and I use the Belif Aquabomb under my makeup. Let that soak in, then I use a beauty blender and Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Serum Foundation. The makers of Bourjois also own Chanel. It's difficult to come by if you live in the US, but I just order mine online. It's around $20 with shipping.

Using an oil serum at night helps with oily skin. There's some science to it, idk, look it up. Prevents over oil-i-zation or some such.
@clarity905
@clarity905 7 жыл бұрын
BleeBlurBlah I can explain the science! so like things are attracted to like things and your body regulates things. so when you are oily and use oil on your face, the oil you put on your face replaces the body oils you put on your face after 2-3 months, so you naturally start producing less natural body oil on your face. when you have dry skin and use oil, your body is attracted to the oil you put on your face naturally creating more body oil on your face Making it more hydrated. it may seem contradictory but that's how it was explained to me! btw when you first start using oil use them at night because for the first 1-2 weeks no matter if your skin is dry or oily you will look like and oil slick but your skin gets used to it and stops looking like that after a while. I use morrocan Aryan oil for mosture and rose hip oil for help with Sun damage.

BleeBlurBlah this is actually true I'm in the skin care business & if you deprive your skin of oil to protect against oil the face produces even more so it's best to continue to moisturize to minimize the oiliness over time 🙂

Maybe a video with how to do something as essential as how to do foundation in general, isn't the best theme for a advertising video. Maybe all the younger girls and the average budget user, would really appreciate a real video on foundation routines where you feature products that are just recommendable and not necessarily Hourglass? I mean this is "sold" as a video which reply to viewers questions ... When advertising for Hourglass the intention and agreement of the partnership is of course to feature and show Hourglass products. And maybe thats not the most genuine way of promoting a good foundation routine? I mean focus isn't just on how to do foundation good, its also on promoting Hourglass.
