Congratulations!! I met my husband at 12 years old and we got married at 18 because we were already so sure of each other. So many people told us to give it time and “there’s other fish in the sea” but at 18, we knew better. 14 years of marriage and 2 kids later, we are even more sure now! We’ve watched those very same people get married and divorced and we are the ones still standing so I think sometimes you really just know! 💜

Talking about self-love... my therapist was talking to me the other day about self-love / self-care vs. self-comfort. Self-love is doing things that can be hard but make us grow, that brings peace to us later even when we don't want the uncomfortableness for a moment. Self-comfort is getting nails done, watching movies all day, etc. Neither is better than the other but it is important to recognize when you are self-caring vs comforting.

I think it’s WAY HARDER to break up with someone than them breaking up with you. You have to be the one to cut them off and set the boundaries and just knowing you hurt someone is awful. But you have to be true to yourself. I’m about to be 35, never got married and I’ve been single for 2 years. I’m not settling for anything anymore. I’m listening to myself and if that means I’ll be alone for a while, so be it. My last relationship was terrible for years and I’m so thankful I listened to myself and finally left and cut him off! I loooovvveee these videos. I’m so happy you’re open to talk about these things. ❤️

I absolutely agree with you about your stance on self love! So many people see it as getting your nails done and that’s just not what it is. That’s an excuse to get your nails done. The only time I see doing something like that as self love is for someone like my mom who actually neglects her self care entirely due to finances and stress. She deserves those things so of course that’s apart of self love but it’s far from the main point of it

i know everyone might have their own definition but to me i always say SELF LOVE is doing the harder things - things you might not necessarily want to do but you do them anyways to better yourself and your future . SELF CARE to me is taking time for yourself to do smaller things to make yourself feel better in the moment . getting your nails done , your hair , buying a new outfit , taking some extra time to pamper yourself ... any small thing you can do to boost your mood/confidence when you’re feeling sad/stressed . ❤️
