Hey guys! Love reading all your comments and seeing the reasoning behind your choices! Some really funny ones down there hahaha in regards to why VOLTRONS blazing sword is not on here, I made this video so each of you could choose which you’d like to use for yourselves in everyday life, would you choose he-man’s to turn into a beast? Thundarr’s for easy transport? Or even sword of omens to do.... virtually anything lol last I checked, we are not all GIANT ROBOTS composed of various sections, so that GIANT SWORD is obviously not on here. You cannot use it lol And this was only top 5 swords, this is why Galtar‘s lance is not on here either, it’s a lance... lol I know it can form 2 swords but this is top 5 swords of power. Not a “top 5 swords and possibly an exceptional lance” video lol. To everyone putting down the list saying it’s garbage, I’m garbage and all the swear words and name calling, you’re entitled to your own opinion! ❤️ No hard feelings!

Sword of Omens had the coolest design. Unlike other swords that were just big and bulky, it had elegance

Sword of Omens is also the most flimsy that can be broken when Lion-O lost the fight against Luna. It doesn't give Lion-O extra strength, only boosting his fighting morale apart from firing laser beam and giving recon sight. The most powerful sword that could really cut through anything is Thundarr while Sword of Power could turn you into tanned muscular most powerful man in the universe. I would take He-man sword

@@jawarakf I don't know about Thunder, but out of Lion-O's , He-man's and She-Ra's weapons, the Sword of Protection seemed like the most powerful of the three. I remember some of its abilities besides transforming Ador into She-Ra: Contact the Sorceress from as far away as Etheria , strong as He-man's sword (I think the time the crystal broke was actually Adora's confidence breaking. Once she regained her confidence, the sword worked again, letting her transform), and of course turning into whatever She-Ra needed for a particular situation. (Flame, space helmet, rope, shield, etc)

Sword of Power and Protection are my swords of choice. He-man's sword also adapts his armor based off the situation. Hince Battle Armor, Snake Armor, etc. She-ra's sword also gives her the ability to heal, communicate to animals and strength equal to her brother. Both swords adapt and evolve, making them in my opinion the most powerful.

Her character came before She-ra. Mattel probably took elements of Taarna , and built upon them. Hard to beat a sword that gives you the ability to lift mountains, and label you as the most powerful person in the universe.

Fun fact: Skeletor already has the other half. It is in the canonical 80's storybooks that accompanied the cartoon. His sword he uses occasionally is the other half, he wants the complete Sword of Power because it is the key to Greyskull's power reserves.

I have to go with the Sword of Power. Unlike all of the swords on this list, it has never been broken nor needs to be recharged. The blade grants you VAST super human powers...strength enough to push the moon out of orbit, super human speed enough to reverse tornadoes/whirlpools and out run huge explosions, agility to block bullets and energy bolts from point blank range, and possibly super fighting ability as Adam seemed very inept while He-man was a very good fighter (I can't confirm this though...Adam would often lose to Teela in training sessions...but he might have been pretending to be bad to protect his identity, while most times other loses he suffered were usually from ambush). The Power Sword can pretty much block or parry anything the other swords can do. In the oldest original mini-comics, Skeletor used the blade to teleport, mind control, and empower others, but these probably don't count as they were done before any real continuity (Adam, for example didn't exist yet and He-man normally used an axe). While the Sword of Omens is extremely powerful, and comparing it to the Sword of Power, it probably overall is better...it suffers from debilitating weaknesses. As mentioned, covering the Eye of Thundara renders the blade powerless, breaking or damaging the Eye can also render it powerless...and even kill the entire race of Thunder Cats! The blade itself is not as indestructible as it might seem, as a rather strong cyborg named Tug Mug was able to snap it with ease...again...rendering it useless. As far as I can tell, the Sword of Omens does NOT confer any super human power to the wielder. Lion-O was already very strong, fast, ect...and didn't seem any more or less so when he had the blade or not. So, while the Sword of Power might not have the most raw power of these blades, IMO, it's more than powerful enough and...as far as I have seen in the original cartoon and mini comics, possesses no weaknesses. It's my sword of choice! :)

And with the New Adventures of He-Man cartoon, The Sword of Power's abilities got upped quite a bit and could do other things. By the Power of Eternia! One person mentioned it almost got melted down, but what he didn't mention was that the sword just took it and refused to melt as all other things were melting around it. The Sword of Power is actually 2 swords. He-Man's sword merged with the Sword of the Ancients and gained its abilities as well. Which would explain why the Sword of Power looked different in New Adventures. The sword is able to switch back and forth from classic version to New Adventures version.

So here's my problem. I _want_ the Sword of Omens. I was a Thundercats kid, I grew up on that show, and for my money it's still the coolest 80's show still kicking around. But practically speaking, I just couldn't use it. I'd get way more milage out of the Power Sword. Turning myself into He-man would just do more for me than the Sword of Omens.

I'd rate the Sword of Power #2 behind the Sword of Omens personally. Having a jewel in the middle of the Street of protection that if broken renders it powerless is a major flaw that the Sword of Power doesn't have.

YES! Reading through the comments I was beginning to think that no one had ever seen Thundercats. If memory serves, Lion-O challenges King Arthur and is promptly given a lesson in humility when, after the two swords square off, Excalibur swiftly defeats the Sword of Omens. Of course King Arthur's victory is short lived when he reveals himself to be Mummra in disguise. Excalibur refuses to obey him after that.

Excalibur didn't just beat the Sword of Omens, it ran straight through the Eye of Thundera, wiping it and all the Thundercats out in one shot. All that power isn't worth much of it comes with a glaring weak spot and ties the life force of you and all your friends and family to it.

The Magical Sword from the Legend of Zelda was my favorite as a kid. I had a cheap plastic sword that looked similar and I would make the large kite shield out of cardboard with masking tape for the cross.

Has to be the Sword of Omens. The Eye of Thundera can grant so much power. I always figured it seemed to be more powerful as the series went on because Lion-O learned how to better control and focus it's power as he overcame new challenges. Everything it could do near the end of the series it could have done at the start if Lion-O had simply known of what it was capable of doing. Plus how awesome is the command, "Sword of Omens, give me power beyond power!"

The Sun Sword is the working man's sword. It's not too fancy or turns you into Steroid-Man, but it gets the job done and is easy to conceal and carry. The Sword of Omens is for the warrior who lacks fighting skill, and needs all those extra features to survive a battle against the common Mummy.

This one's a no-brainer...Thundarr The Barbarian. This show was ahead of its time. Great Intro. Great Characters, great friendship. Great Weapon. Yeah we know it rips off Star Wars alot (Chewbacca and Oogla The Mok, lightsaber and Sun sword etc.) but so what? This was possibly the coolest of all the 1980's cartoon adventure shows with the possible exception to the first run Conan The Barbarian. When he finally rescues his daddy after 3 years and Needle the Phoenix bird goes fully rage Phoenix against the villains....this was ahead of its time as well. Friendship, humor, action. Can't be beat. Third place I give to Transformers the first run. With the Dinobots and Optimus Prime B4 he was killed off. Stunticons are my favorite Decepticons

Nothing beats The Sword of Omens. It is so iconic that it is almost a character rather than a weapon. Just the music to cue up the Sword powering up and the Sight Beyond Sight, and just the look of the sword is amazing. My only issue with the Sword of Omens is the "deus ex machine" aspect, but I could easily apply that to most of the other swords too. The Sunsword, Starsword, Sword of Power, and Sword of Protection are all great too...but nothing compares to the Sword of Omens.

NOTHING? Really? Check these out: Season 1, Ep 17, the sword breaks...and in Ep. 51, Excalibur defeats the Sword of Omens and even stabs the Eye, destroying it. (Later reversed in the same episode since the fight was due to Mumm-Ra's trickery.)

OK when I said nothing beats the Sword of Omens, I meant that as I "its so iconic and awesome and I have the most fondness for it because of muh childhood". I wasn't looking to start a debate about what sword literally beats what in a fight. That was kind of immaterial to what I was talking about. I just thought the Sword of Omens was the coolest iconic sword from my childhood...that's all. Yes I know it got broken 3 times, and yes I know Excalibur beat. I've seen all 130 episodes of Thundercats more than once, but that wasn't the gist of my comment. Its like if you asked me who my favorite Autobot was and I said "Nobody beats Wheeljack!" and you're all like "Somebody beat him! He died in the movie! Off screen no less" when really what I mean is that Wheeljack is my favorite. Chalk that up to poor choice of words on my part.

Sword of Omens give me sight beyond sight....but clearly it never warned me that my mother would donate it to a charity shop. Thundarr's sun sword please. A magical lightsabre that only works for its owner? YES! All the others were used as "deus ex machina" way to much! That kind of strips the protagonists of dignity/credibility when they suddenly remember "oh yeah... my weapon can do anything". Such a cheat by the writers. I can only suspend my imagination so far...

This is missing The Golden Lance from Halter and the Golden Lance. The Lance is basically 2 long swords connected at the base of their hilts. It can also shoot sword beams.
