Been Carnivore for a month, and love that I only eat once a day. And I eat good- steaks, bacon, eggs, ribs, burgers, fish,...and I save money too. I fast one day a week, which ends up being a 47 1/2 hour fast once a week. So I'm only buying 6 meals a week, nd that makes shopping quick and easy. I never liked just cooking for myself, but now I am interested in cooking for myself and trying new things. I didn't have a lot of weight to lose, but got tired of looking 5-months pregnant in pictures. I was down to my ideal weight in 2 weeks. Now working on getting my 6-pack abs back at 61 yo. Winning!

Damn-Sounds exactly like me.. Fully disappointed that I’ve been fooled my whole (58yo) life about foods.. Only need to lose 20-25lbs and then I want to shred it as this will extend my life even more. My dad called it quits at 98 and he was an MD. Told me for years that red meat is excellent and not to listen to the medical industry as they were full of sh*t. Cut out ALL but meats/eggs and have not yet started exercise, but the weight is starting to fluctuate and drop-Cool!

Oh my gosh it feels like Ashley literally is my clone! I have the exact same issues with not being able to do things in moderation, feeling like I should always celebrate something with food or seeing it as a reward or something I can relax with on holidays or birthdays as a spoil. Also the mentality of bingeing on everything forbidden just before you "officially" start a new diet! This video resonated with me so much it's incredible. I'm also the same age so it's really encouraging to see the amount of progress that can be made even over 40 💜

If you find yourself wanting a boost of weight loss go full Lion Diet (eliminating everything except water, salt, & ruminant meat) Mikayla Peterson just did a response to the Mayo Clinic’s Lion Diet hit piece. Anyways I’ve been in since 1/31/24 and I am also down 25lbs now but I take pics every week, measurements of all my extremities and abdomen so that I can see progress in more ways than just the scale. I do this because I’m weight lifting and expect to gain muscle weight as I lose fat weight.

It was COVID for me too when I hit my max weight but also when I suspected my COBID diet was causing rashes and joint pain I'd never had before despite trying to eat healthier during the shutdown. But those "healthy" choices were triggering the food intolerance breakouts, rashes, joint pain and weight gain. As I amended my diet and focused more on protein and non-starchy vegetables, things cleared up. I lost my husband to cancer in 2021 and moved in late 2022. Early last year I stumbled across Dr. Berry's KZbin channel with guest Kelly Hogan and her journey. I started following many different carnivore channels (I really enjoy yours), along with following Dr. Pelz and did my research and began my initial carnivore journey. I quickly dropped 45lbs but have many more to go to keep my promise to my late husband of losing pound for pound every pound the cancer stole from him. I've fallen off and on the diet. Over the past year but I'm refocusing my efforts to be at my goal by his birthday this year. This is the only lifestyle change I've ever made that is enjoyable because it's more than about weight-loss, it's about good food and a healing and healthier way of living. I've never been more energized and so non-fixated on a specific food or lack of food most diets cause you to obsess on. By the next new year, I'll be a new and healthier me.

I quit cigarettes using vaping too, and gained 70 pounds. I'm on day 5 of carnivore and the change in my appetite is miraculous- I used to be a binge eater and always ate due to boredom too, regardless of hunger. I think this is what got me because I could just smoke a cigarette if I was bored and it would keep my hands busy for at least 6 minutes. Now on carnivore if I've had enough meat or eggs to eat, the idea of eating more food "just because" makes me nauseous and is entirely unappealing.

@@iloveseaglass I tried it for 3 months - ended up at the doctors and revealed I now have hyperthyroidism. It isn't sunshine and roses for everyone.
@doctormarazanvose43739 ай бұрын
@@bigdaddyht1079 According to Professor Bart Kay you should slowly transition over 3 months because your body needs to adapt to a different microbiome. He said if you don't you could end up with some serious health problems. That maybe why I developed hyperthyroidism after 90 days carnivore - I don't know. Hopefully the endocrinology department at the hospital will be able to give me further insight.

I'm so glad that Ashley's teens are interested, and adopting ealthy habits. I'm inspired by your story. (And I love watching your channel, Laura!) I began eating carnivore when my girls were mid teens. I lost 50 pounds and my blood sugars are so much better (T1D). One daughter (now 18) is convinced that this is what she wants to do, but not yet, because it's challenging. My other daughter (19) is not interested. I wish I had known how to eat properly when they were tiny, when I could have actually fed them properly.

Only people who struggled their whole life with food and weight, will understand this conversation!!.I am so glad that I am not alone anymore!! It always felt that I have this dark secret that I couldn't share with my family--they could mostly eat everything and never worry about it.Food became my enemy --that I could not fight off-a love-hate-relationship.

Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for the authenticity. Feel like this is how I should eat because I have so much pain but I'm not a huge fan of healthy meats. 52 and have lived on junk my whole life. My proteins were processed meats/cheese/or fried and dunked in sause. This video has been helpful, especially when you were talking about exercise and being able to do/enjoy more things. I know intellectually its my diet that makes me feel terrible and in pain and the thought of exercise is overwhelming after work. I need to listen to this weekly for encouragement. Thank you both.

You guys inspired me. Yesterday, i baked 1lb of beef and i ate half for the brunch and leftover 3pm ate all. I didn't feel no hungry. So i had 21 hour diet. And today morning i checked my blood sugar it was 85. In my life first tried 1lb of meat. Thank you courged me.

Congratulations to Ashley! Laura, thank you for sharing your friend (she's a firecracker in the best way) and her story with us. I am carnivore 95% of the time and feel amazing. But, I had to stop eating dairy/cheese since I noticed some subtle ickiness in my body. Pray for me going "dairy-free" because I LOVE cheese. : ( But, feeling better dairy-free is worth it for me. : ) Be well and have fun preparing for Madrid. : ) See you next time.

I have learned a lot about myself by paying attention and catching myself when I drop in a you.

Loved the brief comment about eating food in Italy! I was there last summer as well and even though I was at that time 1.5 years carnivore, my 1st trip to Italy…there was no way I was not going to try…the pasta, some desserts and YES eventually even the gelato! In the end, the gelato simply didn’t interest me that much even though my travel companion enjoyed having it most day. Finally, two days before our two week trip ended, I finally saw a flavor mix that intrigued me! It was good but I didn’t need to repeat it! One the trip I continued to eat mostly meat based with the exception of trying pasta twice, a few desserts and even a bit of bread, mostly because I wanted to try their olive oils! I never had a bloated feeling from any of the food I ate in Italy, it was just so different from our American versions! I didn’t gain any weight, didn’t have cravings and returned to total carnivore the minute I returned stateside! It was eye opening!

I used to have friends in high school who could put a candy bar in their backpack - and FORGET about it! They'd find it days later, and be like "oh yeah, this thing." Could not be me. That candy bar would have been on my mind every minute of every day until I ate it. Sometimes I think that's why I would eat certain foods - just so that I could stop thinking about them for a while.

Can we find out what Ashley eats in a day or weekly menu ideas. I very much need a "crunch" snack item that's not pork rinds and I'd love to know if she does any "sides" other than another meat choice like superLaura does. TIA!

Hi, Frances! I’m in NY. We have Costco & BJ’s “club” stores. They both sell a product called “Whisps Parmesan Crisps.” The ingredients are: Parmesan cheese, part skim milk, cheese cultures, salt and enzymes. They are crunchy, salty bites of heaven when you need that crispy snack! I don’t care for pork rinds, so these do it for me. I’m Keto, so I’ve even used a good dash of Trader Joe’s ketchup shaker & a bit of sweetener & voila! Instant Keto “BBQ” chips! BTW, Trader Joe’s has a similar snack called Cheese Bites in a much smaller bag if portion control is an issue. 🤗💖

After menopause and an injury to my knee I’m insulin resistant with around a stone extra around my middle. Reluctantly I’ve gone keto with mostly meat and fish. Surprise surprise, depression , anxiety and joint pain have as good as gone.

21:12 in regard to food for teenagers. I have three teenage boys who are all athletic and one stepson, who is also a teenager. We have stopped buying the junk food that we used to buy for the kids, and we only buy meat, eggs, pork rinds (instead of chips), and 21:24 dairy products. They will sometimes use their own money to buy their own junk food, but I feel good that the food that I make and have available for them to eat is high density nutrition, and they eat it! Especially my two wrestlers! They gobble up the carnivore food!
