I just loved this vlog. It reminds me of when my husband and I went to visit his family in Macedonia. Everyone has a vegetable and flower garden and fruit trees, it's just wonderful. Thanks for sharing your special moments of your vacation.

I can so relate to what you said about watching people get older and seeing the changes in the area. I go back to my family in Holland every 2 years or so and although I see them in pictures and whatsapp videos and Skype chats, it's not the same as seeing them in person.

Laura, your bringing me back to my childhood. My father had a large garden along with a peach tree, plum and cherry trees. We had a pear tree us kids use to climb and pick the pears for the Italian aunts. My Dad would make his wine with his grapes too. Awwww those were the days. You don't realize it when your 12 yrs old but when your 55 and the older folks are gone you appreciate those days. Thanks bring me back in time.

Lovely following along on your family vacation. My neighbor (from Sicily) has graphed some plants here on Long Island - fig & tomatoes using different types. He also makes his own wine. Very interesting stuff.

Joe, you are right. My husband goes to Guanajuato, Mexico every year and last December he noticed the difference with his 100+ year old grandpa. The year before he was very talkative and stronger and last year he changed!

This reminds me so much of India...simple, friendly, love feeding others, balcony dinners, gardens, weather...everything is the same. I LOVE IT! My husband wants to take me there but i dont think i will be satisfied with just visiting Italy...Dreaming of staying there atleast a year in my lifetime...and what makes it so much better is that laura introducing and showing her childhood memories to Joe...I Love you Guys!

Thank you for sharing and showing the downtown Naples area. I always think more of the countryside of Italy. I have not ever been, but everything is so beautiful. Yes, some serious storms came through here last week. Here in south central PA, there were some funnel clouds spotted. The next day we were cleaning up tree branches and such. The weather today is just gorgeous! : )

Loving your vlogs from Italy, Laura and Joe! I went to an International Music Festival with our school band when I was in high school, but we stayed mostly about two hours North of Rome.We placed second in the festival, and after playing for judges, and then putting on concerts during the first week, we toured around the second week. We did take a day trip to Naples, which was awesome! Great to see your family again, and they are all looking so well! I almost choked when Joe mentioned that Sal's eyebrows were "on fleek"! I did not think you could be any funnier, Joe, but alas, you are!! Thanks for sharing some of your trip! Canadian love and hugs, Sherrey❤❤

I live by the deptford area, the tornado was TERRIBLE. So many outages, although my house did not lose power, a friend's house lost power for 8 days according to the county... We saw the tornado and the eye of it from the Somerdale/Voorhees area. Glad everyone is safe.

Hi Laura and Joe, love watching your videos of Italy, I was born near Avellino, so it feels like home watching you guys and listening the Napoletano dialect. Live in Toronto, Canada now for 40 years, and finally brought my kids to Italy last summer, and visited Naples, Capri, and Pompei, which was one of our favourite excursion. Joe you have to learn more Italian! by the way, is Joe from Italian background, cause the last name sounds Italian.

Guys, buy whole coffee beans, grind them in a food processor and make your coffee in a press-pot or strain hot water trough a sieve with a cloth. Taste like 50x better as from the coffee machine and you can count the process as part of the coffee enjoyment time ;)

We bought a meyer lemon tree and put it into a huge pot on our deck. It then started growing all different sized lemons, from smaller ones to those freaky ones that are the size of a soccer balls. I have no idea why it does that??
