I use ink pads and embossing folders but I run them through my Big Shot. You have just opened my eyes to so many possibilities using them basically like a background stamp. You are a genius.

I LOVE your "# ways to use..."series! Always learn something new or just different. I'm also more and more into technique pieces as the background to a card, vs very putzy stamping and colouring. Thanks for the inspiration.

Awesome techniques! So, switching between oxides and dies inks doesn’t damage the blending brushes or ink pads?
@LaurelBeard4 жыл бұрын
Not that I have noticed at all. Both are water based so they rinse right off!

Great techniques, Laurel! I love the idea of using the Misti door to do the ink smooshing so you can see what's going on. This is a method I use a lot. However, I don't want to mess up the door of my Misti because I find the plastic surface hard to clean. I happen to have some clear, smooth glass cutting boards (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B3DMTQA) that are about 6" x10", so I'll be using them for smooshing. So easy to wipe the ink off of. I also use a glass cutting board as a weight when I have a curled or warped watercolored piece. I put a paper towel on the page to absorb the dampness, then the glass board to weight it down, and it dries flat with no effort.

Cool beans! How do you like the C&9th inks compared to the Catherine Pooler inks??
@LaurelBeard4 жыл бұрын
Great question. I like both the inks. I have had Catherine's since she launched so I will continue to keep full stock of all her inks. Her pads a wee bit higher than Concords... And the ink pads stack. However, Concord has great colors and is a different shape than Catherine's.... Both have foam.... Not sure you could go wrong with either.
@scubajenn54 жыл бұрын
@@LaurelBeard I bought the C&9th & a few more CP inks...I "might" have a problem 🤭

What do you clean your Misti with?
@LaurelBeard4 жыл бұрын
Usually just water and a microfiber cloth! If I really have to get in there and give it a good cleaning, I use the NOVUS cleaner.
