Betty Jean PErske went to Julia Richman HS//east side Manhattan with my aunt, Mary Leahey-Marto. Tey used to walk through southern end of Central Park on way home. She's often take the 9th Avenue bus home to Greenwich Village.

Love Lauren Bacall, never saw this and was excited to watch. I enjoyed it immensely. But what does Broadway baby and sings from Chicago have to do with the celebrated diva here Ms,Bacall? No songs from Woman of the Year or other songs or scenes even remotely relatable to her hits? She smiled and seemed to enjoy it but underneath I think she was thinking what the hell is this!? As was I.

Love all the performances, but very confused by the song choices? Most of these songs have nothing to do with Lauren's career?? Or it's a very a tangential relationship to say the least. Broadway Baby? Why? Because she was on broadway? Razzle Dazzle? Because she won her Tony for a Kander & Ebb musical?

None of the people here have anything to do with Bacall's career. None of them have ever worked with her. Strange.

Probably because almost everyone that ever worked with her is dead

Bacall wasn't a huge star. Certainly not on the level that other honorees like Hellman, Taylor, Mary Martin, Lansbury, and of course Davis. She was a pretty face who marred a legend. When they only sing one song from one of YOUR shows or movies... that's your clue.
@johnpickford42222 жыл бұрын
BamaFan1962: Well, I guess you don’t like her. The Kennedy Center never awarded Ethel Merman, and that’s a STAR! And you know what you can do? You can whistle. You know how to do that, don’t you? GO BLOW!!
