Oh, Miss Daigle, your words touch my soul in a way few others have - the first recording of yours I ever heard was the “You Say...” song on a Christian station out of Bellingham, Washington. I’ve now heard it numerous times and I cry from my heart still every time, it speaks to me so deeply. I’m sure I’m not alone in that, because I suspect every human feels those feelings at some time in their life. Thank you for spreading the love of our Lord so beautifully, and I pray for you often, that you walk always in your “full armor of God.” Your industry is so difficult to navigate and so many beautiful Christians with beautiful gifts have been drawn away and fallen from their first passion of sharing the joy and love of Jesus. I just heard the song Look Up Child that someone had used in a video. I had to go back and hear it again. I could not tell who was singing it so I found my way here. I was drawn to the lyrics of the song most of all. I wondered who could have thought of those words and felt it was very personal and it turns out you wrote the words. Of course, the music and your voice are wonderful as well. I will be getting one of your Cd's to hear more of you. I am a long time Christian but have not bought any Christian music in years, but now I feel something has come along worthy of getting. Stay healthy and blessed so you can keep blessing others. I fully understand her not putting label christian music on everything she does. She is a christian, but the pressure from people who call themselves ''christian'' is hectic. People are ready to stone her for every word she says, and keeps her accountable even though it's not even our right to keep her accountable. She is serving God in the way she is gifted, and she doesn't need to mention Jesus in everything she does, her actions and music do that enough. If christians would stop criticizing and start supporting, maybe she would be more able to be bold about her faith, but we as a church are not even helping her feel comfortable in her own calling. She is not a pastor, maybe she is not always comfortable answering very confrontational questions, such as ''is gay a sin?'', and she doesn't know how to approach them, so I do believe she is rather more comfortable bringing God the way she is doing already. Stop judging her for not constantly putting Jesus name everywhere, God is pretty good at introducing Himself to people, and He already does trough her music.

In about 3-4 hours of looking her up and watching videos not one have I found of her proclaiming Jesus as King not even on her website doe it even say His Name! so what are Christians supposed to think? we shouldn't judge, but should we lay low and let Satan do his work while we lay dormant? she seems so caught up in the music and lifestyle of being famous that it seems she forgets where she comes from......God, and nothing short. should she prove herself that she is a Christian? no! and to me she hasn't but at the same time if you can't say out loud that Jesus is our King, every fiber of your being, every breath you breathe, everything you have in your life is because of God. Have you ever heard Hillsong United played on secular music platform? I haven't, and it's because they are recognised as a christian band, and it stops them from being on all kinds of platforms. Lauren Daigle ended up on Ellen show, and secular radio platforms! I strongly believe that her light can shine without her necessarily saying the name of Jesus. It's not being lost, because she doesn't say the name of Jesus. She is modelling christian life with her actions. And I would rather her not say the name of Jesus, but her music shines His light trough every possible platform, then her being boxed into christian artist and all who will be listening will be christians themselves. We need the light to shine not only in the church, but everywhere! And if sometimes it requires strategy, so what? She gets attacked by the christians the most, and this is what saddens me. People who don't believe in God, come and read all the accusations for her, and I am sure no one wants to be a part of the family that is divided in itself. Instead of supporting our family, we search for the fault in them. As I said, she is accountable to Jesus, not to us. All Jesus asked us to do, was to love one another as He loved us. He said we will be recognised by the way we love one another. Holy Spirit is there to convict her what she is doing right or wrong, I don't see how her wanting to reach lost and broken people and be released of the boundaries of Christian circles out in the world, with music that gives peope hope is a bad thing.

I understand you are saying these things out of a good heart, but I don't see how judgements are taking us anywhere, when I believe love does bring us to unity. There's something in this music that makes me feel weak... maybe not weak but perhaps vulnerable in some way.
