Oh my gosh! You're the best teacher ever!! You have such good spirit, I can actually feel the fruits of the spirit pouring out of you! Patience, kindness, compassion! You were made for this! I feel so comfortable and taken care of when I watch your stuff! I'm not trying to overwhelm everybody but y'all know her stuff is soothing! But yea I just had to stop and share some love and give credit where credit is due, because you're doing it girl! People can actually tell that you genuinely care about people and your audience and helping to share your skills with the world ❤ so thank you for brightening my morning just by letting me see your light shine ☀️ and reminding me that there still are good things and good people left in this world! Keep up the good work sista!! 😊

You are correct regarding mistakes, keep going. I used to teach karate (retired now) and we taught students going in to test to keep going if they messed up. Who knows, the examiner may have missed it but if you stop and call attention to it. Nope, keep doing your best.

Why have I been watching male instructors all this time! Your singing along sounds so normal, it's great to hear, and you are a natural teacher thinking how things are going to land with your students. And I for one didn't hear the mistake, but I DID sure as heck hear the lesson that went with it - play through it!! ❤

Well done. Great enthusiasm. I find Bm7 works just fine for Bm here. And it's perfect for this song because you just have to lift your finger off the B string when you play D chord. So you go from Bm7 to D with no other movement except ADDING one finger. Strum the same 4 strings. What could be easier?!

You dear lady ❤️, deserve a medal, trophy and accolades 👏👏👏👏 I apologise for the following essay as it's much longer than a comment 😅. You have me picking up my guitar every single day since I seen you're first video ❤️. Two weeks ago I joined a music group, I'm 60 soon and there's a lovely young chap in early 20,s , both us never played before. I've wanted to all my life and bought my pink second hand acoustic nearly ten yrs ago. Sitting in a shrine area, looked at, dreamt off and tried unsuccessfully to play til recent. I am sure you realise you are the best on KZbin! And believe me I've saturated my head and still got nowhere, fast! Now I'm getting it! Slowly but at my second group they said I'm picking it up quicker than thought! That's major for me dear as with ADHD, bipolar 😅, life's been a journey alright and I took up art classes few years ago which obviously taught me patience as this goal has been with me always, music is a major part of my well being and thanks to you, I'm thinking I'm going to get this 👍 You're an angel with a guitar ❤🇭🇲

@@virgilgray wow, I am sorry George Jones or Chris Stapleton but I do not think she ever said it was the exact and though you are correct the D chord is not in the song but I believe the D/A is in the song, well that is at least how I learned it and I am sorry that it offended you so much that you had to capitalize the comment. I still love her lesson, the song, and trying to play music as I truly believe it’s the one thing that transcends all! @dennismcwhertersr.1768 Put your headphones on and listen to the song. I am a musician and have been playing for over 35 years. I play many different instruments, and my two main ones are piano/keys and lead guitar. The problem I have had and continue to have with musicians is the fact they, like yourself, listen to the song but NOT the music. When you start using tabs, that are written by other individuals such as yourself, is where you start going wrong. I know you're intentions are good, but PLEASE teach your students the correct way. I have collected many pieces of software over time, one of them is a very good one called RIFFSTATION. What this does is read the song, then picks out the main notation you can see it as it scrolls across the screen. Please check this out. Thank you.

This is a Taylor 324ce Builder’s Edition. Any major online guitar retailer should have them. I got mine through Sweetwater.

The 12/8 is very common in Stevie Ray Vaugh music. Listen to songs like Texas Flood or The Sky is Crying and you will really get the feel of 12/8 timing. Love your lessons. Long time bass player looking to play some guitar music like this to entertain myself.

Hey George, have you seen Noah Beatz melody with G Em C and D chords. Check it out sometime when you get a chance. Its got heavy Jimmy Hendrix and SRV influences. I'd love for you to do a tutorial if you can. Its nice. You'll like it

I'm new to playing a guitar so this might be a dumb question but, do you hit all the strings? Ive seen alot of people using only 5 then 3 up is that the same thing? Like i said might sound dumb
@LaurenBateman

Down strums yes. Up strums no. Maybe bottom 3 or 4 strings.

Everyone else seems to be doing it with only 2 chords. This sounds better and the right way to play it. They also play the lead part different without as many sides and again this sounds like the right way to play it. I would rather learn right the first time than trying to back track what I've learned.
