Good morning Lauren. I’m watching your lesson at the same time that I’m making my coffee and getting a quick bite before going out to my volunteer work. What I love about your lessons is that even if I feel they are a bit beyond me, you communicate the constant drumbeat of, “You can do this!” So even if I’m not fully following all of the details, before your lesson is halfway through you have given me the feeling that if I just pay attention, sit down and focus…Yes! I can do this! Thank you so much for your delightful and encouraging lessons. Have a great day. You’ve certainly started mine off in the right direction.

A good friend of mine loves Chicago Blues. He just tells me 1-4-5, the key, and whether there's a turnaround. Then I can play along without knowing anything else about the song. Can jam for hours doing just that. It's amazing how many songs can be played using the same shape!

Slide down a whole step you have the E than a half step F and so forth. With is 12 bar blues I’m learning where the next note is as well up the fret board with the first two notes are the same but different octave. WAY COOL 😎

What a cool lesson ...learning this as soon as i get over this covid (yes i know good start to the year but onwards and upwards) ...ps heard one of your albums this week ...I must admit sometimes you sing on here whilst teaching guitar and I was not expecting a lot lol ...but I apologise for thinking this....and I must admit I was wrong because you dont half remind me of a cross bettween Laura Brannigan and Sheral Crow both of whom I like....There was a great song on your album I really liked...Wondered have you got chords for it or a lesson on it out there as I would like to learn it ....its called if you where mine.

Lauren I was expecting to see a I, IV, V chord progression, so the finger picking was a nice surprise. Thinking on it I see you are picking out parts of two classic chord shapes, although I'm a little confused as the IV and V seem to be minor but it works? Any way, I've been messing around with the Blues a lot lately and it's nice to have another little piece that can be thrown in. - I see below that you've promised some more Blues videos! Looking forward to them.

oh i see now ! yes ! i can see the pattern ! as long as the very first note of each riff actually starts on either an A note, a D note or an E note then that is all that matters isn't it ? a ha yes i get it now ! lol cool :) thanks heaps lauren ! lol :) This is PERFECT for my lead guitar riff and lead guitar turnaround that i want to practice so that i can play the 60's song called "Rock And Roll Music" by the Beatles !!!!! lol :) I will then learn an A major scale and an A Minor scale and learn A major, D major and E major Arpegios so that i can make up my own lead guitar solo for this song !!!!!! lol :)

FORD?? That’s an insult to Camaro lovers everywhere! Just kidding, I asked the same thing, only because I had a 1969 Camaro and recognized the body shape. Lauren said she has a 1968 ( I think) Camaro, hence the model. Enjoy the lesson, Lauren is awesome!

I am a huge Camaro lover. I own a 1968. The radio, I just really like antiques and I saw this radio and said that would be cool in my sub porch. I have a lot of older things from my grandfather, like his old cameras. When I started filming on KZbin, I wanted to use it.
