It has been 5 months since I had my Mirena UD of 6 years removed. I have been documenting every month of sypmtoms and life post removal. This month we had an early surpise visit and would'nt ya know another pregnancy scare.

Girl, I want a refund on being a woman.... periods are meetings that could have been emails.... Ive stood by that statement for 10 years, and I will continue to.

Hormones rule the world. Coming from a menopausal woman, this is a thing for a LONG time (sorry). Your body is still adjusting from getting the IUD out. It just takes a while. There are natural pms supplements and your doc might have some suggestions too. But it just takes time for your body to adjust. Your body is completely different after carrying a baby so you can’t really compare your cycle now to then. You shouldn’t have to suffer so look into pms remedies. But a healthy female body cycles every 28 days(ish). So take comfort in that - your body is doing what it’s supposed to do. Women are amazing - men couldn’t handle all this stuff! ❤️

Sooo I totally feel you, yes it fluctuates from month to month. I have months where I’m really evil, have snack attacks and break out, but the thing that helped me most was when my OB/GYN reminded me how beautiful the body is and this is your monthly reminder that everything is working as it should be. It was on odd comment at the time and obviously stuck with me. Perhaps the passion with which she delivered such a statement. Hopefully a change of perspective helps you going forward! You got this!

I think you are so amazing Lauren! You are in the awesome prime of your womanly life! Sometimes it takes a bit to get pregnant. I do sorely remember myself in those days finding my period when I was so hoping not to. PMS was also different in my thirties. I do think our rhythms get more intense for those 10 years but you are also awesome in so many ways! Strong, creative, can do 10 things at once, learning tons of things etc I think each decade is different for woman! You remind me so much of those years! We do it!

I freakin love you!! Everything I feel in my head during that time you just said. 😂😂 Your feelings are totally normal and YASSS it does suck to feel like this every damn month. But you will get through it and just know you are definitely not alone on how you feel like you're on a dang emotional rollercoaster lol. I wish you guys the best of luck on trying for Baby #2. ❤

Could you do a review on your opinion on the Mirena , I am going for my 6 week PP appointment and I’m thinking about getting the IUD, I’m done having kids. Just curious how you liked it, and if you think it’s worth it.

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. I had a hysterectomy last year. I had the Mirena IUD and it made my periods worse, not better. They had found precancerous cells the year before that and it was just horrible every month. It was frustrating and miserable. I still get the symptoms though. The bloating, the cravings for food, headaches (though not every month). I hope they regulate for you soon.
