Can you add the gold foil to the design before you bake it?

Please fo the love of god don’t use Elmer’s glue if you can avoid doing so.. it’s just not going to guarantee durability and the last thing you want is for your earrings to fall and get damaged after all that work. Use the E6000 glue instead, usually very easy to find in stores and relatively inexpensive.
@LaurenJohnson5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing this recommendation! Somehow the Elmer’s has lasted me through 6 months of wearing the earrings, but I definitely would recommend using something stronger.

I have been trying to get my backings to stay using super glue and even E6000 and they pop off every single time. Any advice?
@notebookluvr4 жыл бұрын
E6000 is horrible. Never worked for me.
@asbury124 жыл бұрын
@@notebookluvr What did you end up using? I realized that it works for me but only if i scrape the back of the earring with my exacto knife first.

Do these earrings break easily I’ve been thinking of making and selling earrings like these
@thoughtswithchi22254 жыл бұрын
They don’t. You must bake them properly. They should last for a long time. You also have to be careful with them too

What other idea to dry it with out using oven
@LaurenJohnson5 жыл бұрын
You could use an air-dry clay instead of polymer clay! This type only dries by heat. I hope this helps!

You say you baked these.. at what point did you do that and how do you do it?
@LaurenJohnson5 жыл бұрын
I baked the pieces after they were cut from the clay, but before they were put together. I followed the clay manufacturer’s baking instructions, but if you are using an air dry clay you wouldn’t need to! Thanks so much for watching!

Does anyone know what glue i should use? 😊
@LaurenJohnson5 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I just used plain white glue, and it’s held up really well, but it was a little tricky to get it to set. I would recommend something a little stronger like tacky craft glue. I hope this helps! 💗

The glue is a joke, you put so much work in them why didn’t u buy a heavy duty jewelry glue so they don’t fall off so often?
@LaurenJohnson5 жыл бұрын
Haha, well I had it on hand so I thought I’d try it, and almost a year later they haven’t broken! I think I mention in the video I’d recommend going with something g else though just to be safe. No idea why it worked. 😂
