Will AI DESTROY Artists? (My Unpopular Opinion)

Good point: Asking forgiveness not permission. Corporations with loads of profit and $ for lawyers can easily settle with artists that argue copyright rip-off. In reality artists will be ripped off without a thought. Your comments are great ❤ thankyou

Excellent discussion. AI will certainly change the art industry, but those of us that create and/or love art will just have to be more diligent in buying directly from the artists we love and want to support. 'Cheap crap' companies have been using screen shots and photoshop type software to steal and mass reproduce art for years, one of my friends found her art reproduced as a cheap diamond art painting on -----. AI just makes it easier to do. BUT AI can also be used as a great tool.

I totally agree! It all depends on how it's used... technology is just a tool so we have to be careful with it, but at the end of the day it's how we use it. :)

I like your usual art making videos but also really like these long-form conversational videos! I also don't really think we have too much to worry about as artists in regards to AI "replacing" us but you also make many good points. On the contrary, perhaps AI art will actually make some people appreciate the actual work of artists more when they see that it's not capable of producing the level of quality that they thought. (A lot of ppl now tend to think of art they see as a "print" that was created in seconds so AI might help dispel this notion.)

1. You don't know how to prompt properly 2. By choosing, you are also teaching the machine 3. No, we're not going to be destroyed by AI, we're gonna be their slaves and slaves to whoever owns them, providing real creation, of which only the human intelligence is capable of, because we are creations of the almighty God. 4. There's nothing we can do about it, actually.

Please don't take it personally. I am also a dummy for these things, in part because I am refusing to give in... But all around the Tube you can see amazing art and patterns generated by AI. Unlike you and me, those guys know how to prompt.
