I really wish I liked this palette. From the packaging, I thought it was going to be something else. But that green, blue, and purple make me sad (though mothman is the most interesting color). I am not a fan of the basic primary/secondary colors at all. Makes me feel like I am putting crayola crayons on my face. But not everything has to be made for me and this is going to bring so many other people so much joy and happiness, so I am glad it exists!

Man, I really wish I'd found your channel back when I first started getting into makeup. You do some of my favorite looks and techniques for hooded-eyes and you love color and shimmer. I loooved watching you do looks with a colorful palette like this. That mushroom-y Mothman shade looked like the only boring one to me, but it was actually an awesome blending shade the way you used it, I'm going to have to see if I've got anything like it.

I just got this palette and I’ve done a couple looks with it, I like it quite a bit! I love the packaging - as someone who has spent a lot of time on weird paranormal websites, this palette looks EXACTLY like them. Like, the background, the colors, the names assigned to each shade...Black Moon for sure did a lot of research on the themeing. Definitely see some of the problems you do, though. This video is awesome!

Having seen the looks: Mothman seems like the star of the palette. It transforms the tone of all the other shades and gives the looks more interest, imo. I am interested in how this palette will age, given that you said some of the shades developed hard pan immediately. But if BMC ever has a sale, I might buy this.

I wanted this palette because I LOVE the theme and aesthetics. But the colorstory isn't the most functional for me - this would def be a companion palette for my collection. And $38 for a companion is not a priority for me lol. I tried Black Moon for the first time this month actually; I ordered some of their liquid lipsticks. They are the best liquid lipsticks I have ever used. I still need to exfoliate and hydrate first; but the opacity and longevity and beauty of the lipsticks is uncomparable to anything Ive ever tried. So I have my eye on this brand, for sure.

Oh cool! Just got mine yesterday, and it does seem the shimmer shades will form hard pan easy and I only swatched, and they flaked right off my hand -but it sure felt like I had conditioned my hand with a intense hydrating balm so worried about my oily lids and my dark purple felt super dry. And the red shimmer was the most impressive.

Girl that very first green u used looks good....it blended out so smooth.. Isnt black moon the one thats supposed to have like amazing shimmer shades?? They dont look very extreme to me honestly..hmmm maybe I have the brand mixed up with some other brand idk

I think it looked really smooth once I added some color with my finger but I think even just a more dense packing brush would have worked for that too! I don’t think I had heard about Black Moon’s shimmer formula as stellar before but I think a lot of people did like their all matte palette and formula!

I have Orb of Light Full Moon and it's very easy to blend out. The Lightest Shade in the eyeshadow Palette will cover the Darkest Shade which is very impressive. I wish you could have gotten Warrior as every Warrior bought process goes toward the Battle Against Cancer.

I've been playing with this the last few days and there's just something about the mattes that I'm not the biggest fan of, I think I'm going to try setting my primer and see if it helps. I think the looks are pretty, but definitely not the best formula!

I feel that! I think they are going to work best when I do most my blending with other shadows and then use the mattes in here to punch up color but not do tons of blending! I still need to try that though!

@@LaurenMaeBeauty I know I tried layering the bright purple with some of Menagrie's purples and I found I had trouble getting it to stick. The mattes are definitely workable but the shimmers are where they're at, especially the red which is stunning! (I wore it today!)
