If you put some things under the two front legs of your dresser to tilt it up a little it should keep the drawers from coming open on their own. 😊

Exactly if you look at the back of the dresser the top is farther away from the wall. Put part of a shim under front legs to keep drawers closed.

Thank you for the motivation to declutter 😇 When you've shown on camera the pants that had holes in it at 8:56 I was hoping later on you'll film while discarding any clothes that can't be donated as they're by far the things I struggle the most to discard along with nicer paper clutter (magazines, clothes stores catalogues/flyers) and I always looking for motivation to discard any of those things. Most of the time I'll put them in a clean bag or box that will stay forever in the garage instead of discarding them right away in the normal trash so I can't change my mind on things I put in the bag. I hope you've didn't had too many to toss off camera so you'll have more on the next clothes declutter 🤭

Lauren, you might want to try putting a wooden shim under the front legs of the dresser to keep the drawers from coming open.

Hi Lauren. I'm sure you're familiar with the konmari method of folding, but using that method as opposed to stacking your clothes would provide more space as well as ease to see all that you have in one viewing without rummaging through the entire drawer. It keeps all my drawer spaces neat and helps me use all of my clothes.

Try also pulling the dresser a little more away from the wall. May help to level it. I had the same problem recently. My husband pulled our dresser just a touch farther out, and the drawers stayed put.

Maybe put a piece of 1/4 inch plywood under the front legs to keep the drawer from opening? That would be the end of the dresser if I could not get it to close. I too love to declutter every 6 months I try to get rid of things that I have not used in the last 6month to a year. Have a sale or just donate. Legos that is funny I guess if you ever had boys you know what legos can be like? My motto is once you take something out it must go back in the original place it keeps from having to deep clean all drawers and closet every few months. It really does work I taught my children that they could not take out something else out to play with as long as they have something already out, that it needed to be put away in the right place not thrown in a drawer or closet. That has really helped in my mom life.

You can tilt the dresser or you can replace the hardware. Maybe the hardware is worn down since it’s older. It’s a beautiful dresser. You did an awesome job organizing and decluttering. I have to start up doing these things myself. I have too much and it has to go.

Lovely❤ Maeby you could try foldiing your clothes konmari style. You can see your all your clothes and they are neatly. Well when you fold clothes that way they don't stay neatly if you are not Marie Kondo herelf😄 I developed my own style. I fold clothes as a little package to keep them together. My friends think I'm nuts😂

I was thinking the butlers pantry would be a cute coffee bar. Mine looks exactly like yours. Except I took off the doors above and so it’s an open cabinet and I decorated it all with coffee decor and then down below, I have a Keurig and cups and other coffee items. Decluttering and scaling back your house does help keep it tidy, but if you go back and do the same things over and over again, expecting a different result it’s not going to happen.You have to put things back where they belong and not create a mess in the first place, otherwise you are just going to endlessly be decluttering and changing and to me, it’s just a waste of time- although it does create content, lol

When I first started youtube I felt the need to decorate for every little holiday like Valentine’s Day, st Patrick’s day, 4th of July, and it created so much STUFF. I’ve slowly downsized and no longer enjoy buying as much stuff. My issue comes with not putting things in the correct spot when I’m done using them, or not having a home for everything. Slowly trying to change those habits! 😊
