You're so right about not walking 28km in the pouring rains! Are the huts free out there or do you pay a fee each time? Most off those huts look really cool! 😊 Perfect resting day! And the food looked really good! All the best! Kaat

You buy a hut pass which is 120$ for six months! It’s such a good deal.

Great part of the trail. Seeing that snow reminded me that NZ is heading into winter! So weird. Our trees are just starting to leaf out this week. Now that you're off trail, how hard is it to adjust your eating to the real world? That's gotta be a problem!

Yes it started to get very wintery! So it’s nice to be back in Vancouver where it’s rolling into summer! Annnnd I have to stay active! And not buy so many snacks 😂
