You put up the video the day I went on trail. Don't have the service to watch it yet, but here's a comment. 🤞 Been a bit surprised myself that you're channel hasn't gained more traction. Wish there were more channels like yours and less gear review, but I guess people go where the algorithm guides them.

Yeah I was glad I at least got something out of all that stress! And it’s been so dang windy on this trail it’s such a challenge to find a moment to fly it!

So amazingly beautiful! Wow! Also some of that looked terrifying - glad you were all in it together!
@LaurenRoerick Жыл бұрын
Haha yeah it was legit scary. Those two trail runners were so annoying actually haha. They went the stupid way, where we island hopped to the safe spaces along the way. I was worried for them, but eventually they got up, about 30-40kms after we did.

Oh that introduction is a big pile of "nope", ahah can't get on such snowy steeps anymore, or not without proper equipment, still got ptsd from my slides! Otherwise amazing landscapes and cool moments with other Hexatrekers, that's really nice !
@LaurenRoerick Жыл бұрын
Hahha yeah it was terrible. I just had no idea how much snow there would be, or even that there would be any. Cheval Blanc was fine because it’s not steep on the way up, but the Dents Blanche? Hell nah.

Adult beverage research fund! Have moved from AK and now in the Pacific Northwest. Was about the PCT which closed due to fires, was going to due some Trail Magic, however next passing. The Fire Dude perturbed when I ask if I could stop for a few minutes for a quick deposit near the trail…..oops and kept moving…. Love the 80 degree weather!

Thank you! Oh yeah I heard there were a bunch of fires again :/ just terrible, hope they die out soon!

Lac Blanc ❤ Mont Blanc. Such a great video, thank you for bringing us along on your adventure. Did you know there is a small hydropower plant under the Lac Blanc, that powers the refuge? A unique piece of technology developed on purpose for the place. It's also complemented by solar panels, I was there the day the helicopter brought them! Looking forward to the next episode!!

Wow, this episode kept this old man on the edge of his seat . Very scetchy part of the trail but very beautiful scenery . Oh, were those leaches that were on your tent or snails ? Anyway, great video, stay safe, adventurer .

Nice! The effort you put into that difficult and technical climb was paid off with some spectacular views! Your videography and editing are on point. The quick cuts and short narration keep your videos interesting and fun to watch. I always love to see what you do next 👍

It was a tough one! But yes the views were incredible:) And thank you so much! I’m glad they’re enjoyable- it’s tough to edit on the go on a small screen

Wow, so much snow still, but you were rather early in the saison, weren't you? I have heard of a lot of uses for the buff, but not as a t-shirt. Good one ... The Alps can be really streep for sure! I love the tarte au myrtilles! 😍😋 You must be close to the Pyrenees by now. I'll be in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port around october, 6th, but I guess you will het there earlier. All the best! Kaat

There was a late snow this year, typically it would be much less in this part in July. It was a beautiful section tho! I am in stage 5 now :) I should be done with the whole trip by that time!
@cybertrk Жыл бұрын
As compared to other long distance hikes how accommodating is this route for resources and exits? Like do you always feel you’re a days walk to civilization or are some sections multi days walks to get back to a town?
@LaurenRoerick Жыл бұрын
It’s different in that people have been living in these mountains for sooooo many years. So there’s a shepherd hut or a refuge usually daily, but you’ll still often be far enough away from towns that it still feels remote. This trail does a good job of traversing the least populated areas and staying in the mountains as much as possible

So cool that you're able to share while you're on the trail! This may have been the most epic scenery of the journey yet. That end of the world thing was amazing! Also, tell me you're my kid without telling you're my kid: slides down a mountain on her butt! LOL
@LaurenRoerick Жыл бұрын
Trying to publish these is tough but fun to share closer to real time :) the end of the world was one of my favourite views so far. Sooooo beautiful. And hahah it was easier than trying to hike down 😅
