MSI has not exactly been producing the best X570 motherboards out there. I have reviewed a few, and they were amongst the worst I had seen.
And that is why MEG X570 UNIFY is such a surprise. This late release is simply amazing! It delivers an incredibly featured board, and one of the most heat efficient VRM I have seen this season.
And it does so with a twist. MSI decided to not include any nested RGB strips in there, and paradoxically, it is also the best looking motherboard I have seen in a long time.

Seems like a Champ Board so far. 100% CPU for an hour got the temps up to 50-51-50 C (technically 51 C max) with my H115i AIO and the liquid temp up to 32 C where it leveled out.

Hi, hoping you can help me out. I'm looking to do a new build and i'm going with the Ryzen 3950X CPU. I am not sure what motherboard to go with. I'm leaning towards the x570 UNIFY but has also looked at the GODLIKE. I'm not going to do any overclocking, there is a big price jump between those two, and I would prefer to not go bigger then ATX. What motherboard should I go for? In build will be: CPU Ryzen 3950X GPU RTX 3080 strix (not OC) RAM 2 x 16 gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 (not 100% on this choice just yet) Cooler Noctua NH-D15 The main purpose is video editing, sometimes heavy video. But a big plus if it also works for gaming. Also if there is any good suggestions for RAM I would appreciate it a lot :)

Hi. I love this board, but I am currently having some issues. I purchased a Corsair MP600 gen4 NVMe and it is not detected in either BIOS or Windows. I even got a replacement one and still the same. I am currently using a Samsung 970 Evo Plus and it works perfectly on all 3x m.2 slots. I updated the BIOS to the latest and also changed settings in BIOS, but not sure what else to do. The only thing I can think of, is the fact that I am using an NZXT C750W PSU and it only has 1x 8PIN CPU PWR connector. Could this be the reason why it is not able to pick the gen4 NVMe ? Any ideas please? Thanks

I followed your review after creating a custom loop with a Unify x570 and the lack of thermal sensor was quite a problem. Congratulations for drawing attention to this issue. For this reason, I will switch to the x570s carbon max model. Because it has a thermal sensor input. Thanks for video.

Just bought this board after doing a lot of research and just love the clean matte black look and overall feature set and quality. I actually built two systems with identical parts with the exception of the motherboard--the 2nd one hosting the also-stunning Gigabyte B550 Vision D. Both were sporting the new 5600x CPU and a PowerColor RX 6800 Red Dragon. Interestingly, the B550 board outperformed the Unify board in all Passmark tests. The 3D video tests in particular were about 4 percent faster on the B550 board. I was quite surprised. The Unify board has the PCIe 4.0 across all M.2 and PCIe slots whereas the B550 support PCIe 4.0 only on the main x16 slot and primary M.2 slot, I'm not using those 3.0 slots. There will be a new Vision D-P soon that will offer the on-board USB-C connector plus twin 2.5GB/s LAN ports instead of 1GB/s ports. I wish the Unify had twin LAN ports. That was my only gripe. Overall, both are outstanding.

@Laurent's Choice Laurent. Have you known about the issues plaguing this motherboard with the 5XXX AMD cpus regarding memory freq above 3200MHz? Seems that a lot of people can't get a 1:1 ratio and can't boot above 3200MHz. I haven't found any definitive fixes from bios for this MB to say with any confidence I'd wanna buy it right now. Anyone have anything different to say? Definitive source that the issue has been fixed?

thanks for the video! you mentioned at 13:14 "CPUless boot bios", what's the difference between that and the BIOS flashback, which is on this board? Presumably you can flash, but it wont boot into the bios? how would you know if the bios update was successful if you use BIOS flashback?

That is correct. Depending on the board model, you d have a LED around the button who does indicate when your BIOS has been fully updated.

Do you think the heat from the 2nd m.2 slot under the gpu using either PCIe gen 3.0 or 4.0 will cause any thermal issues for the ssd itself or for an RTX 3080 which can use 400 watts on an overclock? Quick question, so when you install 3 nvme ssd at same time, are all 3 run full speed? Because on my B550 when I install one ssd on main slot the 2nd one only performs as gen3 x2 which only gives half speed, thanks.

I am still using a socket 775 MSI Big Bang Mother BOARD with the hydra software, sound blaster thx audio, etc. This is still running strong for being over clocked, and custom water cooled. And for thirteen years old who could ask for more. This was quality back in the day. MSI needs to look at there old boards that became legends and use them again.

Does anyone know if the board will run with the F4-3600C16Q-32GTZN G.Skill when using a Ryzen 7 5800X? The RAM is not listed in the QVL on the MSI website. However, it is listed as compatible on the G.Skill website - But it only has been tested with Ryzen 3000 so far! I already asked G.Skill and MSI, but yeah... They only told me what I already knew: It could work, but they can't guarantee it... I wanted to buy the Asus Dark Hero first and already ordered this RAM because of that, but since this board will according to sellers cost 500€+ and there still is no release day known and I'm not planning to overclock the CPU anyway, it simply isn't worth it for me.

It does exactly what it says it does. For a system that is powered on, it will reset it triggering a power off -> power on cycle. If the system is off, it will do nothing. It's for bench testing when you might not have it installed into a case with the front panel pins connected.

Hi, can somebody help me to answer one question here? If I have this board, can I insert two RTX 2080 in SLI mode for windows and use one of the PCIe slots for AMD 5700 XT when I swap to Mac OS? The only drawback I see to this motherboard I already own is the strange location of the USB 3.1 internal port. Lian LI PC-011 cable is just too short to reach this location. Most other motherboards have it located near 24-pin motherboard header. But anyway I'm not using any type C device so far, so other than that, I am really happy with it.

Great video..This board has been in my top 4 mobo choices for the new build I am planning but is looking like the one I may pick coupled with the Ryzen 9 3950x. I don't see why so many are waiting for the next Gen of Ryzen when they dont even run the top Ryzen 3000 series.I hate RGB because I find all the lights distracting to me.People might as well install a small disco ball in their PC build.

Also is this a good build slightly expensive for right now but ima stalk best buy and and soem stores for amd stock perf a rx 6700xt or 6600xt or the 3060 ti are my gpu choices with the msi unify or gigabyte elite wifi aureus a samsung Evo ssd a ryzen 7 5800x as rn its the best major cou for the money cheaper then the 5600x for the time rn only 50 bucks more and a decent jump 2 extra cores abit mroe profrmence quality silicone ect plus I will do a very light overclock and thena underclock a few time to find the most stable but also minimal to male it as stable as possible and give it a few extra frames but I want to try and focus on latency as well so I found some 4400mhz porformence ddr4 sticks so once I start getting everything together Sam on and a few other thing it will be a buet gunna start as an open case build keep it simple get a m.2 later and a few other things use an older monitor and TV for awhile will be overkill for the time but I can just focus on how 3verything looks at as Ling as I dont get screen tearing it will just decrease latency if I'm correct

I'm trying to debate between this at 300 buck and and aorus elite wifi the no ryb I enjoy as well as some fo their premium features and look you can visually see where everything goes ect easy and nice and a very very solid motherboard basiclya. Msi godlike but downgraded non extended atx

It was the 3600 version of Prism. Only one totally black without any RGB. Temps are not great so dont use that particular one for OC :):):):)

Just bought one (quantity limited to 1, but at least it was *available*, and I only wanted 1) of these on the strength this review, positive reviews far outweighing one negative review on vendor site, and some details (e.g. front-panel I/O is a perfect match for Meshify-C case).
